Our game primarily addresses the themes of climate change and the ocean through the lens of a women leader.

Since our primary artist is female-identifying, we wanted to make sure her voice was heard both figuratively and literally through voice acting. Her role as the climate-pirate captain Kori shows how sometimes all it takes is a strong leader to make a difference.

The mechanics of the game are relatively simple, and provide accessibility to younger audiences who want to have fun while simultaneously learning how to make a difference. The combat in the game addresses how we need to unify and fight against pollution, as well as save those who have been displaced by coastal retreat (a consequence of sea-level rise). By combining these heavy themes into an energetic, action-packed adventure, we hope that they are more easily digestible, and show people that they need to take action to save our oceans.
