  • I loved this fusion of the classic roguelike dungeoncrawler with the bombs from exploration games. The game feels very complete and polished with the powerups, enemy variants, and generated levels. Was a lot of fun to play! Some more gameplay aspects or ways to engage with the map would have taken this to a new level! --- This game is incredibly polished, I love the black-and-white look (and additional color themes as well) and the character design/aesthetic felt totally cohesive to me. Great work! --- 32/40

The controls feel tight and the aesthetic gives off an awesome retro vibe. I only have a few nitpicks about the combat. I did feel a little restricted in my ability to defend myself, especially when there are multiple enemies. The enemies also felt extremely aggressive, like they were targeting me because of pure proximity rather than line of sight. I always felt like I was on the defensive rather than the offensive due to that. Other than that, I had a great time playing the game. Awesome work!

Love this game. A surprising amount of polish for a game jam game. I really like the art of the game as well. It also just plays really well. The inclusion of multiple pallets is very nice.

I have 2 suggestions for improvement. I think it would be nice to be able to shoot in 8 angles instead of just the 4. Just adds a little more control. Secondly, I would like to see a chance of an enemy dropping items if you kill them with a bomb. This could just be me, but I think using your bombs to blow up enemies instead of walls is really sick but probably a bad idea in the current game. But if you had a chance of a drop for doing so it might incentivize trying to use bombs on large groups of enemies. Just I thought.

Anyway, I enjoyed your game a lot and this will probably go into my collection of quick run-through games!

For whatever reason shooting only works some of the time (unless I am misunderstanding the controls)! Can't really play without that unfortunately :(

Did you hold down the arrow keys? Just pressing them won't work.

OMG it was totally that, I was trying to mash instead of holding!! Thank you!

Haha, sorry about that, I should've made it more clear.
