This is the one I definitely had the most fun with (it’s better than mine, imo) despite the fact I had to play as Reid. :D Got 2 endings when I played (slept in until the final day the first time, then actually tried on the second) and am curious to see what other endings this has. Good job, only bits of advice I’d offer were already mentioned (quicker access to the stat hud, fixing some atk/mat/etc references with the intended stat names, etc)

It made me lol!

This was honestly addicting! I enjoyed finding different combinations to trigger new flags and get the different endings. The animations are quick and charming, but I do think it would have been nice to be able to skip them.

If you wanted to expand this into a larger game, I'd highly suggest making it clear when the player has achieved something. This could be like a checklist of all possible objectives, or a list of endings with hints on how to get them.

Thanks! Adding an animation skip option to the options menu is something I do hope to add myself. For the endings there is a document on that in the game directory but do hope to add more to that in game as well at some point. Or as has been suggested by another maybe Cynthia returns part way and tells you too.

I really enjoyed this game! I love it when there are many choices to make throughout the course of the game that ultimately affect the ending, so this game was right down my alley. I tried several different ways to build Reid up and enjoyed how that affected the ultimate battle with the Dark One, but I was a little disappointed that I was only able to get 2 of the endings despite playing 5 times (#5 the first time, #6 every other time).

I liked the choice of music, and the little animations that play after agreeing to a task was a fun touch.

I have some nitpicks, too:

Some of your terms didn't get switched. There are references to DEF and MAT when it should be CON and INT.

As I played more, I found myself constantly referring to the Stats menu option. If you want to improve the game, try finding a way to have the stats on a HUD or make it quicker to access.

You could even show a window comparing the stat gain when talking to people so it would be clearer what the benefit of doing each task would be.

Reid says "No one will be upstairs in the daytime" regardless of time of day.

I can sneak onto the ceiling by way of the tiles behind the cabinets.

10 days can also get pretty monotonous if you just do the same 2 things every day. Granted, there are a few things that change each day so you can't always do the same 2 things, but due to the distance I have to travel for most things and how I have to wait for the same animation to play each time, it got a little boring.

All that said, I still really enjoyed this game in spite of the critical points. Nice job, BG!

Thanks KV! Going to a HUD actually is on the list of things I want to do as soon as I can (or faster access of some sorts). I may ask around more on discord when I return to this after the jam.

This is a very fun game! For as quick as it was made, it's pretty cleanly done, only stumbled across one little odd spot in the potion shop that lets you walk on some walls but I didn't notice any other mistakes. Incredibly replayable, I've tried several different strategies to see how many ways I can win, and because it's a quick pace to get through the game, it's doesn't feel like a slow slog to try out new things. I'd love to see what it'd be like if it were developed further!

Thanks! I posted my comments earlier on your video too and do hope to add some of your suggestions in the video at some point once the jam is over.
