Thank you! I am glad you liked it

I am glad you like the JUICE. Thank you for playing!

I appreciate it, if we were to continue with this, I suppose we could make something really fun out of it. Thanks for playing!

Although I am not sure we will continue this project, it was a lot of fun building it. Thank you for playing and I appreciate the feedback!

Those are very good points, thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Thank you!

Very simple gameplay, reminds me of those good old flash games. What would have been very cool is to have some kind of an effect that happens from gaining population. Maybe some warriors spawning? Defense towers?

Cool and simple gameplay, I would prefer the dash controls to be both the right shift and the left, as then I can play this game with 1 hand effectively.

It is hard to say what I think of this, since this is the famous brick breaker game. It would have been cool to have some original twist to the already existing game idea. For almost 4 hours though, well done!

Very ool game, nice art and simple gameplay. Nothing bad to say about it, good job!

This game was indeed hard, not sure if in a good way or bad. I would  really like if the controls were a slight more responsive but other than that, the idea is solid and can be expanded upon with levels and other additions.

I would say that this game does not fit the theme of this game jam well. The game on it's own stands solid, I would suggest adding a pretty cursor for the mouse to make it more clear how big the eraser is. Good job on finishing it either way!

Could not get the game controls to work, tried to refresh the page and restart the browser many times but nothing kept working

Simple, but hard!

I believe that was a fart cloud, thanks for playing!

Never to be freed again

Thank you! We will make sure to fix the game up and some polish after the Game Jam

Appreciate you playing our game! We will definetly polish the game and add the missing features after the Jam, there is a lot of stuff we didn't manage to make in time

Thank you for playing, will take your advice on the UI and improve it after the Jam!

You can if you are capable of remaking that template in Unreal Engine. You don't have to remake the whole thing, just enough to be recognized as the template. For example, you could remake the camera and player movement, the water shader and add the models. But skip on the inventory system and pickup mechanics.

I somewhat did get swarmed, but just spamming the shot was enough for me to survive.

It really shows that you have some experience with making things pretty. You really did make the toolkit pop and the animated bananas? Very well done visually. I wish the game was more finished as I believe it would be a lot of fun with all it's features complete. But that is how game jams are. Either way very well done!

Not sure exactly what it is, but I feel like there is a very cool feel between the 3D world of asteroids and 2D world of my spaceship. And the chargeup mechanic is very fun aswell, I wish though that it had a greater impact, so that I was more forced to use it and couldnt just rely on small charges to survive. Nevertheless, good job!

I like the very simple yet creative death mechanic and these assets really do feel like they fit in even in a 2D world and your proved it. Good game!

Is the slow-mo purposeful? Great use of the theme, the gun animation could use a bit more work but everything else is quite well done. And with Helloween coming up this month you are certainly matching the aesthetic. Thanks for making this!

This is alot of fun, I really like that this game expects good reaction time out of you and makes you play it very actively. Well done!

Incredible that you actually put in story elements and dialog along with a boss battle to top it all off. Great work man!

I suffered, but I enjoyed it. One thing that would make it a LOT more fun would be fast paced movement similar to Clustertruck. Still, good job!

Despite you hating making every level I think you did a spectacular job. I did not expect to have this many levels and it was very fun playing through them all. I could imagine this as an early version of something polished and maybe even sellable. Well done man!

Very nice. I really like what you did with the visuals and the UI especially. Somehow having wipeout balls fits just fine aswell haha. I wish there was a bit less grind to get the other ships. Overall great job it was a lot of fun playing!

Not in an editor. You could use shaders or vfx to create something out of it

Yep those 2 are only for the models. We did not provide anyone with skybox textures this game jam

No you can only use the texture we provided

Youre allowed to use your own fonts as long as they are just an UI element and not a gameplay mechanic

As long as it runs on Windows, in  desperate circumstances Android will also do

You cannot use custom textures or models. You can use any shader based solutions though, if you are using Unity there is a "procedural skybox" shader for example. You can also try to create a texture using a shader and apply that shader to your particle system or skybox.

Im not sure what you mean by generate, but you can use that texture AS pixel art. You cannot use it to create your own seperate textures of pixelart. That texture is originally meant to be put on the models!

1. Can I modify the 3D assets?

To an extent you can, you can remove parts of the model, you can change their shape using shaders or change their color and add effects onto them using shaders aswell. You cannot put them in a 3D editor and change their shape, the only exception to editing the model directly will be that of when you want to remove parts of the model or split it in different sections.

2. Can I use my own UI assets?

Previously the answer was no, but primitive UI can be super boring. So the answer is now yes you can as long as those UI assets are used for UI only and not for gameplay elements like characters, bullets, vehicles and so on. It has to be strictly used for user interface. So audio sliders, menu buttons, health bars, score counters etc.

3. Can I only use the given toolkit sounds?

No, you can use any sounds you like. You can make your own, change the given ones or download some from the internet. The toolkit sounds are only an extra to help!

4. Can I make a 2D game?

Yes but then you would have to use the models in an orthographic view or use primitives like squares and circles to make the game as you cannot use custom UI elements to build gameplay features.

5. Do I have to use the toolkit?

No, if you wish you can create an entire game out of primitives. But keep in mind that in the rating period there will be a "toolkit usage" category.

Yes android is fine

Thank you for playing! Sorry to hear you could not finish the last level though, will post a tip below in case.

A good tip for the final level is that you only really need to kill the main room turrets and hallway ones, not the window ones. And once you pull the lever and get back to the brain room focus the brain and sprint past drone shots.
