Since there are only nine of us signed up for the jam, I think it would be nice to share at the outset what we are working on and why. We can get hyped about the different projects and encourage one another. My name is Kendra. I will be submitting Cozy Chess, a chess program with an AI opponent. The problem is that I could literally keep tinkering away at improving the AI for the rest of my life and never be "done". This jam is giving me a much needed deadline to stop fiddling and ship the thing.

Hey Kendra, good luck with your game! I look forward to playing it :) I've made a chess game before, Chessmate, with an AI component and I totally get it about being able to keep tinkering  away at it. If it helps, based on feedback for my game, I would suggest having the easiest difficulty setting for your AI play just random moves. I know it seems a bit crazy after all the effort of working on the AI, but I ended up adding this to my AI since beginners would get discouraged playing against even a basic AI and needed a few wins to build their confidence. All the best!

Dear Itizso, Thank you for your wonderful encouraging comment 25 days ago.  Without it, I guarantee I would not have persevered and shipped something tonight. My chess game is not nearly as glorious as yours (Wow, btw!) but I am pleased I made it. And I took your advice about the random moves AI. Warm regards, Kendra

Hi! I'm happy that the jam could help in any way.  I wish you the best with your AI and your game!
