I found a glitch where I could push a block into another
Yeah, I recently caught this too (I'm surprised you're the first to report it). I'm just waiting for updates to be unlocked from the jam, and then I'll push a fix. That should be pretty soon. Until then, I know the bug isn't game-breaking. You should still be able to complete the circuit. Thanks for reporting it though!
Awesome puzzle design! it has the assumption-revelation mechanics of normal "pushing boxes" games, but this one has an extra dimension! which makes so much more interesting. the difficulty curve was almost perfect, i would say the jump from 6 to 7 is a bit steep, but the rest is great.
One thing that did make me mess up the puzzles a couple of times was how the game detects that you are working on another face. I would sometimes quickly pan over to a new face and because i was trying to do it quickly i actually ended up moving the box on the previous face before the game switched over to the new one. One possible idea would be to add a slider for the 'angle' of detection or something like that (this is of course assuming you want to expand the game).
Before writing this i was gonna suggest adding a "step-back" feature, but after thinking about it, it may actually mess-up your difficulty curve, so now i'm not sure.
Again, great game!
Thanks for playing! I'm choosing which side to activate by raycasting from the center of the camera to the box. I supposed I could see how close to the center of the box face it hits and just disable movement if too far away, like when you are looking at an edge. I'm not sure this would be comfortable either though, because there are a lot of times when you might want to intentionally view it close to the edge to see how you are affecting both sides. I don't know; I may have to play around with it later and see what works.
I wanted to add an undo feature. I just didn't have time for it. I might add that once the games are unlocked.
Solid game! A little hard to control on a touch pad, but the puzzles were definitely really interesting and fun. Great work!
Thanks! It was tricky picking a rotation speed that was fair for different mouse sensitivities, and it can be harder to move quickly on a touch pad. I might add some settings to the game later so you can adjust the sensitivity to something more comfortable.
I have a mouse I'm just usually lazy and playing through these things on my laptop in bed haha. I know the struggle of mouse sensitivities, seems like a battle you can never win. All in all i think you did a great job and probably is the best speed for the most people haha
I completed all the levels. I must say, this is one of the best submitted games I have played. No pretension, very straightforward, and challenging to the end.
I'm glad you like it! This time I focused on the puzzle design and didn't worry so much about art, style, or writing.
Super cool game! would love to see more levels. I really appreciated the adaptive arrow keys.
Thanks! I was pretty worries the controls would be awkward since you can rotate the box diagonally, and the arrow keys are stuck in cardinal directions. I'm glad to hear it worked out.
I love this game! So fun and full of whimsy!
I'm glad you like it! Hehe ... I didn't think it would be described as whimsical. Kind of ironic because it's the first project in a while that I wasn't trying to make fancy or comedic. But it's good to hear it can still be appreciated like that!
Fun game. Last level almost broke me <)
Thanks for playing! I assume you persevered though and made it to the end? I actually had to revise and simplify that last puzzle quite a bit because I was confusing myself trying to design it. I'm glad no one has to suffer through that initial monster.
