Hello! I was one of the streamers who took part in Feedback Quest, and I'm here to leave some comments I had while playing.

This game was a short, fun title. While at first I was confused by the random effects from eating the chicken, eventually I came to love them. That said, the effect that slows everything down is awkward. Since it slows EVERYTHING down instead of just the player, it feels like the game is lagging. I would recommend that effect work only on the player to avoid this feeling. I also dislike how the end screen just sits there instead of restarting.

That said, I know you're doing more with this concept and I can't wait to see it. I think on top of the things you've said you'll be doing, you should also add new weapons.

Thanks again)
Yeah, weapons is part of big "To do list")

Lovely little game almost wished there was more of it. I would say that the game needs a little bit of a proofread and checking of collison against certain objects but I did have a lot of fun with this one. Keep it up :)

Developer

Thanks! I really appreciate your feedback!
I will keep working on this project) Currently i'm implementing random generation for levels and bunch of new stuff (new side effects. enemies, lore)

I think the only drawback from this game was that the enemies didn't have health bars. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed the random effects caused by eating the chicken, had some genuinely funny outcomes on game play. Great work keep it up this was an awesome entry especially that you only had five days!

Thanks!

I escaped the lab and saved everyone yay, it's a nice simple browser game, I did run into some streaming lag with this one for some reason but I am not sure if it was just my internet or the game itself. 51:46 Laboratory X-29

Thanks!

One thing i noticed: it is not so clear as i expected, BUT when you press R you heal yourself to full (it is chicken ability) and at same time you take one of many side effects for 10 sec (like when you became much bigger - it is not a bug =) ). And because toxin is spreading throw Laboratory you constantly losing health, so you need to use chicken time to time))

Great thanks for your playthrough!! I appreciate feedback and have learned things i need to work on further))

Yeah I learned the R thing with your in game instructions I just don't remember it bec dory is my spirit animal. lol

Edit: I think I felt the death wasn't very punishing so I just kept going, if I see the chicken or the healing prompt on the game screen and my health bar lowering as part of UI I will heal myself more consistently.

Nice game! i enjoy everthing, but i think you could improve the graphics by giving everything an outline like the player, or take away the outline from the player. it also crashes on the third room so yeah :/

Developer

Sorry to hear that. It is probably some rare combinations of things happened because i first time receive such info about crash. You played in browser or download version?
If you will have time to try it one more time to see if it is constant problem for you?
Visual art stile will be more consistent in further updates))

I made it! I love the graphics and simple pleasure of exploring the lab to escape. I'm usually not a fan of topdown keyboard+mouse games, but thanks to having infinite chicken to heal myself with R, I was never in any real danger and made it out without dying.

Sometimes, when  I healed myself, a temporary clone of my character was created, but it wasn't clear to me why that happened . Also, I experienced a lot of lag when all the enemies were firing at once.

I enjoyed it, great game!

Thanks for feedback!
Clone - it is one of many side effects of eating chicken to heal yourself) Because chicken was experimented on in laboratory it is now have some side effects) Some of them can be strange or fun)

So that explains both the upside down effect and the chicken gun then 😁 nice! Do you plan on expanding your game?

Developer(+1)

I am currently working on it) In plan is to expand enemies list, chicken abilities and make random generated levels. So it will be about hour (?) long run, but every new one will be deferent.
