Thank you, everyone! It's been fun playing other games, watching the streams, and seeing the feedback!

I've gotten some truly valuable feedback thanks to everyone and the Feedback Quest jam đŸ€—. I  will incorporate your suggestions into the next version of Ikimashou!

Hi, the game is simply an awesome one!! I like it a lot!! It’s a really great one with an awesome music, awesome CGs and awesome VA in the moments than happens For me the only things than I think than can be improved are the writing, as sometimes it can gets confusing and I will like to have more VA moments, but it’s understandable that part because the game is still in progress and also VA can be expensive

Anyway, also I like than the demo is really long, I didn’t finished it yet but the game average time on the game page it says than is 30 minutes, but the demo takes more than that time, so maybe adjusting that setting will be great too so players can know more or less the game length I hope you good luck with the upcoming Kickstarter!! Also I hope to see more about this game!! I don’t know if you have a social network where you publish progresses of the game or not, but if you have one you can please let me know about it?

Thanks for your word! Improving the writing, getting more Japanese VAs, and more art is just some of the things on the agenda.

I post on Twitter every now and then, and I sometimes post updates on my own itch.io page. Feel free to follow :D

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 5! It's nice to meet you! My name's Hythrain. I'm part of the FQ team and a hobbystreamer. I'm writing this review live after having played your game.

Canadian! Canadian! Canadian! I'm so glad to not only see someone who I know is a Canadian, but has made their game about places in Canada! As someone from the Toronto area who has also been to Gare Centrale in Montreal (I've been to Otakuthon a couple times), this was just so cool to see! I will 100% be playing more of this!

My biggest criticisms are a lack of sprites seen throughout the prologue and... well, a lot of errors in the writing. I suspect English isn't your first language? I'd suggest having a few sprites in the prologue to liven things up, even if it's not a whole lot. As for the writing errors, I'd like to offer my own assistance in this endeavor. As Mayshing/Altabestudio (one of the hosts for the FQ main events) can verify, I have some experience with story writing. I'd love to help a fellow Canadian out!

I only played through the prologue at this time, since I'm trying to cover all games and can't spend too much time on each one yet. However, this is 100% on my list for a more thorough play-through.

Yeah, I admit the prologue is a bit of a mess at the moment, since it was made very early into the development of the game (q1-ish 2022), and not reflective of my newer writing nor the plot of the story 😅 Unfortunately, I guess first impressions matter! Right now, I am working my head off rewriting and polishing the prologue thanks to yours and everybody else's feedback.

I'd take up your offer of assistance regarding the story, but I encourage you to play beyond the prologue of the game when you have time, so you have an idea of my vision for the game.

Again, thanks so much for the candid feedback and remarks đŸ‘

The things I love about this game:

  • The backgrounds are pretty
  • The sounds / ambiance is AMAZING!!

The things I don't like about this game:

  • The story reads like an ad for the public transit system. Now, perhaps the person writing it. Really, really loves public transportation. And who am I to knock that? But I suggest adding a co-writer or hiring a writer to liven up the dialogue and speed up the storyline. It is just a bit too detailed and dry right now.

What I think would benefit this game:

  • Adding sound volume control to the UX under settings
  • Adding speed control to slow down or speed up the auto read function of the text.

For those who love to read, love visual novels and perhaps Canada or transportation, you will really love this game. Overall, I give it 4 stars.

heey, thanks so much for taking the time to review the game!

Indeed, I am a bit conflicted on the prologue of the game. It’s mostly comprised of my older writing and I’ve considered axing it entirely. Thanks for your feedback regarding the pacing, I too felt it detracted from the main idea of the story, and gave the game a too slow of start.

Regarding your suggestions, both of them exist within the game settings, under different tabs.

You can change the text auto-forward using the slider below “this is a text sample.”

You can change the audio of the game in the “sound” tab in the middle. I will update the UI to make it more obvious thanks to your feedback.
