My first project made on my own. I started in late November and used this game jam as motivation to finish after getting distracted a couple of times. Please enjoy my first real step into game dev.

really good game was an enjoyable experience and was easy to play
Well done with the ping pong. Imho the music fits really good to the game which makes you wanna win (even if you play against yourself :-P).
May you wanna add some more stuff after the jam to the game. So I would add another sound effect when the ball enteres a goal and I really would add a menu where you can regulate the volume sound.
I've also noticed that the ball always bumps away in 45°. Usually the input-angle == ouput-angle which would make the game more dynamic.
While writing I get a tons of ideas for you ^^. So let me write bullet points:
Overall really well done. This is a nice pong game :-)
What can i say. Its Pong, but it's well done! The music is cool, too!
Good Job!
I really liked the music. It's simple but you've got a finished game which plays without any bugs (as far as I can tell), there's games made by professionals which can't even achieve that.
To improve on what you already have, have pauses at the start and when someone scores so that they can prepare.
It could do with some polish and expansion on the mechanics to make the game your own, but take it slow, one step at a time.
So far, it is a solid start, keep it up.
Thanks for your feedback. I agree that pause menu/ press key when ready might have made a lot of difference.
Even with this small project I fell victim to the classic problem of over scoping myself and I cut it down drastically to make the deadline for this and move on from things that had me stuck. I probably could have gotten a ferw more important things in if I had not focused on too much at once.
Overscopng is a problem I fall into a lot too.
This is very fun!!! Great work completing your first game!
