I've started this project in December of 2023, so about a month now.

Nice use of the art & music. gameplay was cool.
Notes:
Super big lag spike on browser when you press play or select level.
Movement was kinda too floaty.
Hitboxes were too big it was real difficult to get around spikes and enemies.
At first I didn't like like that you couldn't collect the oranges when you took damage, but after I saw that they could also heal you it made more sense.
Overall, cool work!
Thanks for the feedback, Crogoze! As for that lag spike in the browser when you press play, I'm not quite sure what the cause of that issue is. Could be related to how I set up the camera limits to follow the player, but that's just a theory - perhaps I'll do some testing on it. I wouldn't want to have that in my future projects. 😄
Fun little game! I like the idea and difficulty, but probably it is too easy for hardcore gamers. What is missing is perhaps a story or some way to make progress, like weapons or some other advantage gained from collecting all the oranges. Still many questions remain. Why I am supposed to pick up oranges? Why are the chickens so hostile?
Thank you so much for your comment, Magn! Yea, this was meant to be a relatively short yet fun game, and I do see that no story or way to make progress can make the game feel a bit off regarding the player's will to keep going. You'd definitely be questioning why you're playing this 😆. Anyway, this was actually my first-ever project that I've made solo with any game engine (in this case, it's made in Godot) and submitted to a game jam, and I'm glad it turned out alright -- just missing a few bits and pieces to make the game slightly better, of course. Your comment means a lot to me! 💖 Oh and I also love that you provided a screenshot showing that you've made it to the end of my game. Good stuff!
