Visually stunning, solid gameplay, perfect theming. Picking up 1’s to open AND/OR gates gave me a chuckle too.

Developer

glad you liked it, thanks!

Submitted

Looks great! love the feel of the characters movement, that's spot on!

Cool VHS effect on screen but a little distracting ..

Submitted

Very fun game, i like and challanged, i was trying to do dash with a 1 on the door that needs the two's 1 haha hilarious.
The gamplay feels smooth, camera, everything fits well, Great job!

Developer

do you mean how sometimes when you place the first 1, a door starts opening for a split second? is this what caused confusion?

Submitted

Yeah, but then i saw the other door open with another 1 that first i need to grab that and put it in the other one and then grab the other one, but what i meant is that it felts like a really pulished and retro game that was publish from a big indie studio :p

Developer(+1)

that's so nice to hear, thank you!

Really good game! The only issues I had were that trying to place the 1's in their slots sometimes got weird so maybe make a button to pick them up instead of auto picking them up and also the bosses would die at like half health but idk if that was intentional or not. The sound was also sort of quiet. I beat the game and had a blast though. The spiders running away from the flamethrower was also a really cool feature! It makes me want to see more weapons and enemy types. Visuals were really cool as well! I need more of it so please add more in the future!

Developer(+1)

I'm really glad you liked it!! The plans are to keep going and bring it all to the best state it'll ever be, like a big overhaul! Maybe it's a beginning of a long road to a full game, who knows!

Played it a bit, looks interesting. My only complaint is that narrow gates are sometimes hard to navigate (probably unintentional).

Developer

thanks for the feedback! Could you elaborate? Do you mean 1-tile wide gates from 0-1? or gates in general?

One tile gates.

Developer(+1)

hm, I see, thanks for telling!

Great game! The music and the 1-bit look really work well. The maze felt a bit confusing for me but the overall experience is pretty nice. Good job!

Developer(+1)

great to hear you liked it, thanks for the feedback. By maze do you mean the third level? (1-0)

Submitted

I mean the dungeons in general. I think a minimap would be nice to have.

Developer(+1)

hm, I see, thanks

I really like the atmosphere of the whole game, especially the super cool old TV tube effects. The character control is also very smooth. Although I am not very good at action games, I still very enjoy the whole game process and fun. Looking forward to the next new levels, bosses, weapons and abilities.

Some suggestions:

  • Make more fine-tuned adjustments to make the operation smoother, such as having a certain tolerance and automatic alignment when passing through doors or narrow passages, so that you won’t get stuck because of a few pixels of error. Make more subtle judgments when picking up or placing the keys to the door.
  • Add more guidance in the game. For example, when you get a new weapon or ability, you can give a timely picture or animation explanation, so that players can more easily understand how to use the new weapon or the effect of the new ability. The prompt text seems to disappear after showing once, maybe you can change it to show again when the character returns to the place where the prompt is displayed.
  • Personally, I prefer gamepad to keyboard-mouse, and it would be nice if the gamepad and custom keys are supported.

Bugs:

  • The first time I played, the prompt showed click to shoot, and the enemy also appeared before I got the weapon. Maybe you can adjust the game process to ensure that you get the weapon first, and then start facing the enemy.
  • The font for showing the typing effect is missing.
Developer

thanks for the comment and feedback! 25AE in a rectangle is some sort of font problem, it doesn't work in web for some reason, only in windows, don't really know how to fix it

I also saw this missing character thingy but I thought it was intentional. Still works with the whole hacking/virus theme.

Really fun game! It was challenging and and visually nice.

Had a bit of an issue at the begining with the switches, where I would grab them and place them again in the same place if i tried to leave fast, but other than that, the game is responsive and well made :).

Developer(+1)

yeah it does that sometimes lol, thanks for the feedback

Superb game! Liked how it feels to play and the CRT-ish(?) shader helps to bring the 1-bit aesthetic to life.
The katana mechanic is pretty cool, can't wait to steal this idea for some of my projects :D

Submitted

I would love to play it but when I load it it says web GL support lost then freezes and crashes :( looks super fun.

Developer

sorry to hear that, don't know what could cause that

Submitted

Amazing aesthetic! It was fun to play!!

Developer

Thanks, nice to hear!

Developer

thank you so much!!

Loving the visual design - really nice job. The world of the game has a great feeling and makes me want to spend more time there - so that's what I'm going to do! Looking forward to going deeper into the game.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Pretty cool game, I really liked the Katana but wish it just had more range to it. Also there's a bug where you can get stuck inside of doors as they close (happened to me before the first boss).

The screen effect is really cool but I would welcome an option to tone it down a bit.

Developer

Thanks for playing! And thanks for understand that it's a katana and not just a sword lol, I think you're the first one so far. Thanks for the advice about it's range.

About the effect, well, I guess most I can do is off/on. You see, I didn't exactly, ahem, write it, I just took the shader code somewhere in the net and I don't really know how it works, and messing with alpha just makes it brake entirely lmao

The screen effect is so nice!

Loved the game, can't wait to see it grow !!!

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it!

The screen monitor effects are really cool! I liked the variety of weapons, powers and levels- it got me playing through the game more than once to experiment. Lots of fun!

found a neat trick with the flamethrower, you can switch weapons while firing and the stream will stay active, you can combine it with the gun laser to melt the boss in seconds. The shield is also really strong, it ignores all the boss attacks and you can kill him before it expires.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the awesome feedback, I was so happy to hear you even played it through more than once! Maybe I should make the shield take up more energy, thanks for telling me that. about the flamethrower, honestly I knew it and just applied the ostrich algorhytm lol

Submitted

Fun top down shooter, would be good to have some sort of effect when you damage an enemy to give the player feedback on if they hit it or not.

Developer(+1)

I see! Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Submitted

Nice concept, picking up the bits was quite buggy and they would keep getting picked back up, Liked the different powers, Got stuck here (killed the boss) but could not move:

Loved the soundtrack

Developer(+1)

yeah you're right, bits are a bit annoying right now, sorry for having to deal with collision problems. Thanks for the feedback!

Real crisp visuals with an overall aesthetic mood. Felt like the game kept getting better, so great job!

Thanks a lot!! Glad you liked it!
