There's a lot of cool ideas in here! Traversing the remains of a wildfire and the ash-soaked mud while being hunted by a strange creature is an excellent hook. I love The Creature, it's powerful, intimidating, and smart.

Some reorganization would make the module a lot more clear - move all location information to the interior, put the Creature on the outer panel that's folded in so you can view it and the map at the same time, maybe add a diagram for the Tower.

Thanks for providing a printer friendly version!

Thanks, still pretty new to trifold design and didn't put enough though into how the layout would transfer to an easy to use pamphlet, definitely something I'll keep in mind once I take a second pass at this. Making the map and creature stats the easiest to access is a good goal.

-disclaimer: I have not managed to play this yet-

Style: 3/5. The text blocking is useful for reading the layout, and it's easy to read. The map could be more interesting, and a layout for the tower would be useful, as it seems more of a focal point than acres of burnt foliage.

Substance: 3/5. The creature is great, and there's plenty here to play with; I feel confident I could run the mission without having to tweak anything. I do wish there was more to interact with in the various locations, however.

I do love the premise of sending players into a haunted forest that's been recently been burnt down and unfortunately is still haunted. The Vessel, the main threat of the adventure, is a big threat that could potentially snowball if players end up being killed by it, encouraging players not to dawdle around and work quickly. This does pose a noteworthy risk of a TPK, I would advise that Referees give players some warning if they're about to be attacked by the vessel, and maybe give them another way to scare it off.  I'm not a fan of the blue background colour used throughout the document; its not easy on the eyes. Other than that and a couple of typos (in the Vessel's Personality Absorption 'trails' should read 'traits'), the layout is clear and information is easy to find. All in all Operation Free Fire does need some adjustments, but it does have the makings of a good One-Page horror adventure for FIST.

Appreciate the feedback! Definitely want to do some tweaks to fix any errors and to make it a bit more balanced, wanted The Vessel to be a persistent threat that'd last multiple encounters throughout the adventure, and may not be defeated, but I think I may have overdone it in my unfamiliarity with balancing FIST encounters. Also kind of agree with you on the background color, wanted to give it a unique look but I think the printer friendly version ended up being a lot nicer to look at.
