I haven't played a text adventure in so long, this was neat :)

I was able to get some interesting dialogue from the princesses but I admit I couldn't find a way to win.

I can’t seem to make any progress. I just don’t understand what to do at all. I try saying e.g. “Say hello” and get no reply. Can you give some hints as to how to play this game?

This is based on old text-adventure games, which have relatively standard commands. https://pr-if.org/doc/play-if-card/play-if-card.pdf is a good introduction to how to play interactive fiction.

I do not know if it is possible, but adding a tutorial that explains what kinds of commands to use may be helpful.

Thank you for the feedback. I agree that I should provide more direction at the beginning of the game about the kinds of interaction that are possible with characters. The game is far from complete. I submitted it to have an entry in this jam, but expect that it will take months to get it into a polished state.

Currently, the game is only winnable for Anfisa. I suggest using commands like “ask anfisa about family” and “give item to anfisa” to progress in the game.
