Fun game! I included it in my GameDevNetwork: Gooseberry Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

The lag was rough, but once I got over that, I really enjoyed it.

As others have said the game is very laggy, however I still enjoyed it and thought it was a good concept that stuck to the theme perfectly. The powerups were good but could have done with a few effects to show them better. Overall I enjoyed it but it could have done with some sound/particles.

Great effort guys! Good luck in the jam :D

Sadly :/ but we are glad you enjoyed. Definitely, sound effects and visual effects are necessary to polish a game. You are right and thank you.

The lag was pretty rough in browser, but I appreciated the accessibility of it. I'm not sure if my speakers weren't working, but I didn't hear any sound. I think this would have really embodied the feeling of destroying stuff. The SFX of destruction games really pulls it together for me.

I liked the colors/ simplistic vibe

Good entry!

We are now aware of how laggy it is and will make sure to fix it. Sadly, there wasn't any sounds, the person that was designated Audio never replied and when we tried to look for audios online it was too late. This (and the lag of course) is our number one priority, we know how satisfying it is to hear the sound of destruction, audio is very important to tie everything together. Glad you liked it <3

Thank you,

Reminds me a lot of the old 'you are god' flash games over on Newgrounds, nice concept though!
As others have mentioned, the lag is a bit of an issue here, though a couple of things you might want to look into are the Job / Entity Component System, or, using a shader to simulate the breaking of the mesh, processing this on the GPU will really smooth out the destruction!

Developer

Thiago always loved God Games (Populous, Spore, Dungeon Keeper...), and I love destruction in games. I'm aware of the Job/Entity Component System but I have never used it before, but will look into implementing. We are not very well-versed on shaders but we would love to know how to do this, do you have any links to start us off ?

Thanks in advance,

Cool idea! it seemed a little laggy for me also, and I couldn't really figure out how to use the basic click attack. (There was a bar filling up when I would hold it, but it seemed like it did more if I just spam clicked on buildings.)

Hehe I wanna see people running around in panic now as im destroying the city!

Thank You ^^ . You are right, clicking really fast is better then clicking and holding, we will definitely "buff" the power of the hold attack. Your idea is perfect for what we envision for this game, we want the city to feel alive with AI for cars and people.

Interesting clicker where you destroy things through clicking on them. Fun although a little laggy somehow with all the destruction!

Thanks, we are really happy you liked it. We will definitely work on improving the performance for the next version.
