I completed the final level.
That's great to hear. Hopefully it was an enjoyable experience.
Nice idea! It's a little difficult initially but you learn fast to play. I found the win of a level not very exciting so it seems that it is not so important to overcome the level but that the importance is in how to overcome it. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback. You are right, I wanted the player to focus on the process of completing a level (like a puzzle) more than anything else. But, perhaps I could make the level completion a more exciting 'event' too.
An interesting core mechanic that worked well and suited the theme. I thought the level design was on the whole good and the difficulty curve was pretty spot on. The graphics and sound were a bit basic though, and the controls were a little fiddly. It took me ages to realise that you could change your direction in midair so that you bounced a different way when you hit green blocks. Perhaps a mechanic to slow down time, or time slowing down when you're about to hit other blocks, would alleviate this problem.
Yes, I think slowing down the game down a little will help the controls feel less 'fiddly' and make the experience more pleasant overall. Thanks for playing and giving some feedback.
It's pretty short, but it has an interesting idea!
The controls at first feel a bit odd, but after a short time of playing, they become pretty smooth and responsive. The main idea of the game, is innovative, and it makes for a fun gameplay! It requires you not only to figure out the solution, but also requires you to quickly coordinate both of the blocks, in order to complete the levels, which aren't too hard, but still entertaining!
The only two issues I had with the game, is that perhaps the red block is a bit too fast, which sometimes makes it hard to place the yellow bumper in the right spot. The other issue, is that it's a bit too short, I finished all 12 levels in about 15 minutes.
It could receive a bit more of polishing, but other then that, it's a pretty good game!
Thanks for playing and great feedback. I think slowing down the game in general and in particular the walk speed will help the controls feel better. And yes, I agree that the game is a bit short. Unfortunately I left making levels right till the very end of the jam.
It's really good! And like the other comment, it's very well polished.
I only got up to level 5 though.
Thanks for playing.
All you need to do on level 5 is collide with the bumper (orange/yellow) while you are in-line with and above the enemy (green) so that you can bounce off and reach the exit.
good work, very original. I like the puzzle-coordination mix. I got stuck on level 7, couldn't figure it out
Thanks. That level is to teach the player that they can bounce off in the opposite direction (by holding down the left key).
Too hard for me. Hard to say if I fail because I suck at platforming, or because I placed yellow black wrong.
Maybe, make red jump by itself and let player concentrate on positioning yellow?
Thanks for playing. I might try slowing down the gameplay a bit so the player has more time.
I liked your idea. Really fun to play! Some of the later levels I found quite difficult.
Thanks for playing. It's actually nice to hear that it wasn't all too easy.
good idea
Thanks
Simple, yet effective! I enjoyed this a lot. I'm even glad the jumps didn't have much variance because it made the jumps more predictable. Nice work
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to play and comment on my game.
