Nice ambiance and style. :)
I downloaded the most recent version and tried to shoot the bugs but got 0 damage from it? I shot around 6 times at close range and no death animation played. I played on Windows and the frame rate and movement was fine but shooting just didn't work for me. Other than that, I liked the art style/lighting and map design of the game, and from the screenshots there seems to be a lot more content than I found. I'll probably try to play this again and see what's going on.
I’m really glad you enjoyed the ambiance of the game! That’s weird that the shooting wasn’t working for some reason, this is the first I’ve heard of that happening. Some of the bugs take a decent amount of shots to kill, but it should never be more than 10 or so. Was it properly playing the animations and sounds and stuff?
It was playing the animations and sounds. I ended up closing and then opening the program again, and the shooting ended up working. I'll revise my rating, but also a note, at the boss battle, the guy ended up running into a corner and staying there blaire witch style with 30% of his health. It was an easy win but was that intentional?
You stumbled across a bug that slipped by me in development 😖 The behavior tree was based on his line of sight, which doesn’t include the area behind him so he has a major blind spot after his run attack if you position right. In the future, I’ll patch it so that he has 360° awareness so that doesn’t happen.
It was pretty fun.
I wish there was an indicator that you're supposed to go through the warehouse door so you don't waste time and ammo on the other parts of the map. The grunts feel like they take way too many shots to kill (unless I was just missing most of my shots... it's hard to tell because there's no indicator when you hit someone).
I wasn't able to beat the boss because I ran out of ammo, and there weren't any ammo pickups left in the map (that I could find)... I guess that's life. The sound effects are nice, and I like the bug-head character designs!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I wish I had more time to add some more juice to the reticle so the player can have some sort of hitmarker. I definitely noticed that the game tends to be a bit unforgiving if you miss some shots, so I’ll probably place some more ammo drops around the map to remedy that. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I did shoot a lot of people, couldn't figure out where to go though. Fun FPS, and very funny rag dolls when people die.
Nice work! I enjoyed the overall ambiance and graphic style, and the gameplay was pretty fun too!
I did get a little bit lost on some parts of the map, perhaps a more clear indicator would be good?
Overall a pretty fun game!
Thanks so much! And yeah, I'm beginning to think that I should have more clearly indicated how to enter into the club portion of the level. Like maybe a large arrow or some signage I think?
Yeah, I think that would have helped with navigation. I think some graffitied signage would better fit the overall ambiance of the game. I was able to get in after a bit of trial and error though, so something subtle may help.
Yeah, that's a great idea. Just like a bunch of graffiti arrows or something would fit in pretty well with the level design and style. Thanks for the feedback!
I think I shot everyone I could find.. so I must have missed something somewhere? My framerate was a bit low, so I started to have a bit of motion sickness.
There's a big gate in the level that can only be opened once picking up a key elsewhere in the level. I probably should've put some signage to indicate it a bit more clearly :/
I enjoyed what I played however my potato laptop did struggle somewhat! I really liked the visual mood with the lighting and graffiti on the walls and wish I could explore more without my fan spinning so hard my laptop flies out the window! Great project from what I can see :)
Your game looks good but I had very low FPS on my i7 system, not sure why. Couldn't really play it unfortunately.
