amazing game, the graphics and sound design were well done and the gameplay was fun.
Beautiful game. Took me a little over an hour to complete it. My favorite part is Chapter 2 where you have to dodge the in-coming rats although it is a little difficult to estimate their hitbox. I think the vision is there to create a beautiful game (love the art, the music, lighting, and all the shaders) but one month might be too short to complete and polish three chapters. Would love to see a more polished version in the future!
Thank you so much we are so happy that you liked the game Yeah we mostly focused on chapter 1 and chapter 2 because we didn’t have time and the deadline was only three days when we were making the forest level but we will make sure after the game jam we will polish the game, make it better and completely finish it and thank you so much for liking the art, music and the game graphics we are really glad :).
I really like the graphics and audio, it paints a very nice atmosphere. Well done team!
Gameplay wise, just a few things to improve! since the level are quite big, either a minimap (I think someone else already suggested, or allowing the character to sprint? ) would be less frustrating :)
Also the scorpio manage to hit me while I was talking to my new friends (how rude) Could you make the character "invincible" meanwhile talking?
nevertheless The art design is gorgeous and I really wanted to progress, Overall really great! well done.
Hi Fennelle!
Thank you so much for playing :) I'm glad you enjoy the atmosphere we were trying to create! Further - thank you for the notes for improvement! I've been keeping note of all feedback we've got from players to improve on after the jam when we expand the game to it's originally planned levels!
Invincible why talking is a huge oversight, super sorry but thank you so much for playing and really glad you wanted to progress further!
Not your fault (I'm just one of those who has an ultrawide monitor) and Unity needs to be told how to handle that or else I get UI like this:
I do the same thing in my game. Need to look into "Layout Element" UI component to fix this issue. The hand-drawn looking main character is cute and the story at first really reminded me of the intro to Final Fantasy 3 which is fun. Not sure if I could attack since I don't know if I am seeing all the buttons but I did my best to stay away from the what I think were the baddies to avoid losing health although they move fast. :D
Hey! Thanks for the screen-cap, i'll be looking into that as a fix once the jam is open for sure! I'm glad you like the character sprite, did take me a while even with Aesprite (I've never done pixel art before XD) there was no attack key however once the Jam is over and we continue working and developing I was looking at adding sprint/jump/crouch/dodge animations to add an extra level of diversity to movement and allows us to open up the world/level options some more! FF3 was actually not on our inspo document but by far one of my favourite instalments so I'm really happy to hear that comparison!
What framework did you use to build the game? The mac version seems to be signed with an invalid signature.
Hey never_K,
We built in Unity, however the Mac version has thrown up errors for some users (others not so much) I've got a crazy week at the moment but considering it's a 'broken' link I'll be fixing it ASAP and then letting all those Mac users know they can now play our game!
Thanks for the feedback and sorry you weren't able to play atm.
Pretty solid game. I loved the little dialogue snippets, and the graphics were very cute. The audio didn't loop properly in the sewer level, and there were a couple times when foreground elements appeared behind the character (like the big mushrooms at the start of the forest level).
Navigating through mazes was a little tiring, and I got lost a lot of times. I really liked having to guide the big bug through the large cave paths, it was fun seeing the maze from a different angle like that.
Thank you so much for your feedback!. We will fix and add new things to the game right after the game jam ends !. We will try to make this game to the fullest and make it the most comfortable/enjoyable and flattering puzzle experience it can be!. And again thank you so much for your feedback that helps us fix the game!.
Nice game! I had a lot of fun playing it! Even I got lost in some levels, but it's part of the gameplay that makes it funny. Good job!!
Really cool loved the music I agree with some people getting lost pretty easy maybe a map of some sort. But is the forest level complete? Cause I'm a little stuck and I want to help Oshii get home :) and I want to keep playing.
Nice and cute game, good looking graphics, relaxing music, peaceful story. It's a huge maze, and took me a lot just to finish the first chapter, maybe a map of the places you were would help.
But, it was fairly fun and engaging, good game!
thank you so much!. We really appreciate your feedback on the game and for playing it !. Yeah the map and stuff are a lot requested in the comments of the game and we are planning to finish the game after the jam!. Add more things and also levels. Also thank you again for your feedback!. It will make the game better at the future :).
Very nice game with lovely music and a cute (although somewhat dark) atmosphere. The maze in the beginning was a bit too stretched out for my taste. But I think it’s still great.
This was a really nice and cute game! At the beginning, I was a bit worried that this might end up being a horror game or something, but as I went on, my fears were alleviated. I love the dialouge and all the bugs helping out Oshi, as well as the "fight" with the sewer rat. The music also really helped set the mood! Great job! I hope Oshi made it back to her home :)
Thanks so much for the positive words! We really appreciate all the kind feedback we're getting and love that people are enjoying the game! After the Jam we'll be working on the 'full' version where you'll find out if Oshi does in fact make it home! I loved your project too and would love to see it expanded more :)
Really nice game, great music and visuals. Like the choice to use grapes instead of hearts for health. Unfortunately, the text didn't show up for me :( Maybe there's something up with my mac?
