Challenge: try my game, then tell me your points

My game is mostly based on getting scores. No time, no damage, just get as more score as you can!

So, I want to challenge you. Try my game (and btw, leave a rating) and post here how many score did you get. The score can be found here:

To start, read this guide of how to play.

Ok, I’ll start with my case. I played this a lot of times, but my highest score is 7000. I spent 10 minutes to do it, though :p

My score – 7000

Hey, got some time to play yours this evening. Amazing game. I rated too. And about my scores...

This was my real first attempt.

And the highest I was able to reach...

Amazing game, again. After 6970, I tried again and again but was not able to go any higher.

Another thing... I haven't tried pyxel yet, but the code structure looks similar to that of pygame... I am interested in improving the game after the jam ends... (Got a new thing to learn)

And how's my game: Here is the challenge thread I had created before https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/topic/1834539/who-can-save-the-land-of-monochr...

Thanks.

Awesome! Getting a score higher than 6000 is just excellent. The hint is to destroy all the trash as you can.

And about Pyxel, yeah, it’s similar to Pygame. After the jam, feel free to take a look to the GitHub repository where the source code is stored!

I will rate your game, probably tomorrow. I promise.

Hallo,

As you requested, I re-verified your application.

Machine Operating System (OS): Linux (LUBUNTU 20.04 LTS)

SCORE: 7100

Elapsed Time (Installation to Finish): 6mins

Installation included:

1) Extracting "pyxel-dist.zip"

2) Entering the following COMMANDS in the Terminal Window:
sudo apt-get install python3-pip

sudo pip3 install -U pyxel

Additional Notes:

1) technique used: Move Ship Vertically from TOP to BOTTOM and BOTTOM to TOP, while FIRING beams

--> When remaining Enemy Bugs reached 30 (approximate count), no need to reach TOP and BOTTOM due to increased number and speed of Enemy Bugs;
--> Set EVASION to be priority, instead of reaching TOP and BOTTOM; Continue FIRING beams

Well done! You have the highest score ever! That’s the technique I used. Thanks for posting, too.
