Is it mandatory to provide git repository URL while submitting the game. Can I upload URL of mega instead of git.

My project is around 12 gb with assets and in order to upload on github I need more LFS data packs . MEGA is a free alternative to upload the project so if I provide the MEGA URL Will it be accepted?

is this really the size when excluding all files that should not be put into repository?
Foe example: Unity folder for my project is about 2 GB but only only thing I really need to put in git is Assets folder which is only around 10 MB.

Don't know what tools you are using or how you set up you .gitignore file.

Yes this is excluding the binaries , intermediate , saved, folders....Actually my assets folder is large (12gigs) and if I remove the unwanted assets I don't think it will be less than 1 gb and also it is a tedious task (as I have packaged the game).

hmm, and how large is the game itself? I think you might have problems uploading game itself to the site for submision if its too big.
Super large downloads may also scare off people from wanting to chack your game and give a rating.
You might get away with this if your game code was put in github with link to MEGA for assets but I don't know.

the packaged game is 3 gb in size . I think I might do what you say (upload the assets on meta and the code on git hub).
