Game description
A top-down dungeon crawler, where the player plays as Vheran an elven rogue who has to dispel the dark magic in an underground ruin, while reliving a moment in his past.

Theme interpretation
My partner and I decided we wanted to make a dungeon crawler. We decided that the secret of the dungeon and player would be tied so we decided the story would hold the secret for the theme.

I don't know if you drew inspiration from "The Legend of Kage (NES)," but I was somehow reminded of it while trying out your game. Perhaps, it was because of the main character's movement. When the in-game music began to play, I felt that I ought to pick up my pace. I think I went through the game and defeated the final boss two times. Congrats!

I loved the vibes this game put out. Its a little busted, but I think it kinda adds to it. The sprites and music are tight. Mechanically its broke as hell. The game implies that you can use the dog to attack but i dont think it works. Also it  says Right click to attack when its clearly left click. That being said, it was oddly charming.

Also the coin flip to open the chest, that was cool. I dont know what i got from doing that but it was interesting.

The game is bit janky but I appreciate what you did.

When I read the memory things, after it was done the faces kept showing up. Seems like a bug.

I liked the idea that there was a second attack (the cat does something?) but nothing happened when I pressed E and I couldnt figure out if that was a bug or deliberate. Collision detection was a bit weird, seemed the player cant take damage, monsters sometimes dont die for a long time, music too aggressive for me and had to mute the window by hand
