IF is usually not a genere I play but this was a refreshing take and pretty cool interface. I found it was a little slow having to wait to receive “messages”, I’d speed it up a little. Minor thing, the text box at the bottom some times doesn’t fit the full text, maybe the messages could just be sent without being typed at the bottom first? That’d also speed things up a little.
We had instant messages during development and it felt a little overwhelming, finding the right balance could be more of a personal preference I believe, so I think of implementing a settings to choose text speed.
Indeed, text box is wonky at the moment, it needs a little more work. I dunno about skipping it though, we still need some time for the player to read the full message of the main character before any NPC replies to it...
Thank you for taking the time to review our game.
Nice UI design, everything worked clean and smooth. I think a bit more variety to what is possible within gameplay would have made a more engaging experience. Some of the writing could been tightened up too, at times I felt the dialogue was a bit pedantic / redundant. Nice little narrative story!
Thanks for your review.
Indeed, the "game" is mostly a story at the moment. What would you have liked to do for example? (Hey free game design advices can't hurt ;) )
Very cool game, the dialogues are convincing but maybe a bit too long, especially for a game jam. Overall, it's a very cute game. Good job!
Indeed the game is only dialogues at that point. Thank you for taking the time to read them.
