Game description
Escape the enigmatic depths of S.C.A.L.P. Lab, a clandestine facility where science has overstepped its bounds. In the early 1980s, a coalition of scientists, medical researchers, and entrepreneurs formed the Scientific Center for Advanced Lifeform Projects with one ambitious goal: to unlock the mysteries of life and create new forms of existence. However, their quest for progress soon crossed ethical lines, leading to questionable experiments and hidden agendas.

You awaken, having escaped from your chamber, but... who are you? Navigate through procedurally generated corridors and rooms that change with every playthrough, enhancing the sense of uncertainty and discovery. Avoid guards armed with electroshock batons as you search for keys to unlock doors and delve deeper into the facility. Collect secret documents scattered throughout the lab to piece together your own past and uncover the dark secrets of S.C.A.L.P. Lab.

The game's unique visual style uses a limited color palette to create a dark, atmospheric environment, highlighting essential areas and items. Can you unveil the secrets hidden within and discover your true identity?

Theme interpretation
The theme 'SECRETS' is at the core of our game's narrative and mechanics. The protagonist's identity is a mystery, creating a compelling drive for players to explore and uncover hidden truths. The procedurally generated levels embody the concept of secrets, as each playthrough offers new layouts and challenges, keeping the experience fresh and unpredictable.

Collecting secret documents serves as both a gameplay mechanic and a narrative device, allowing players to piece together the protagonist's past and the unethical practices of S.C.A.L.P. Lab. The limited color palette reinforces the theme by shrouding the environment in darkness, emphasizing the hidden and unknown aspects of the game world. Our goal was to immerse players in a setting where secrets are woven into every element, from the story to the visuals, encouraging exploration and discovery.
