Pretty cool mmo-like world you created here :)
I couldn't figure out what the right-click ability was doing, and what the loot was for.
Were you pressed with time making this? Seems like a pretty ambitious project, so good job making it this far with it! :)

Thank you. The beam attack damages the enemys. I was working on the loot and items, but i ran out of time and could not finish.

Great music ^^

I did not get far since I got thrashed early on.

I did not really understand the bubble beam and the walk at the beginning towards the enemies felt a bit long.

But overall a nice demo!

Thank you for playing. unfortunately i ran out of time for the Jam and thought its best to rather sumbit what i had working then to not submit anything at all. I may continue the game and add all the stuff i never got to finish. (^_^)

I think the previous comment  cover  what i have to say  my main comment would be some instructions  just to explain what the goad is.

Well done for getting something submitted

Thank you for playing. The idea i had for the goal was to have a time limit counting down and you had to buy more time from the monoliths then make it to the end of the map to win. with the Jam time ending i could not finish what i was working on. With how the game works now you can just run past everything and go end the game at the end of the map :D

Hi Merlin,

Good job on the little game! I was unsure of the objective of the game but to me, it felt like the beginning works of an MMORPG. I like the style of the environment!

I think there could be some improvements here:

  • How To Play screen (explaining the objective an d controls of the game). The game that we submitted also was missing this and I found is really essential to any game!
  • Adding some sort of backstory to the gameplay adds depth to the game
  • If you plan on further developing this game, maybe adding more moves like a body slam and jump movements would be cool!

Congrats on finishing this game jam! :)

Developer

Thank you. I agree with you but unfortunately i ran out of time for the jam and thought its best to submit what i had working then to not submit anything to the jam. Thank you again and i will do my best to improve my games in the future. (^_^)

Hi Merlin,

This is interesting! I see what you were getting at mostly here, but I don't know if I fully understand the objective! I can use the loot I pickup to buy things and use them from my inventory I'm guessing, what is time here? I see stamina and health  (might be me missing it!). Ultimately I think either a quick guide to the game other than the controls would be useful :)

The animations on the punches are a bit janky and I feel like our rock friend could maybe use a little jump for flavor or a bit more effect or impact to his movement :)

Oh. yes sorry about that . i was working on the items but ran out of time for the jam. the system i was working on made some problems with the game so i left it out. so you got no limit on the blast attack and no time limit. I was close to having that working but in the end the game ran better without the unfinished usable items. I can maybe add that later on and update the game. thank you for playing though.

Awesome, you bet and thank you for submitting! :)

I got some advise to rather sibmit the unfinshed game then to not finish the game jam. I was honestly planing to give up and not submit anything.  I like finishing the game jams, but i want to have fully complete games subbmited. its alot of work \('o')/

Good choice to submit! Finishing the game is the greatest challenge for most in a game jam. If you haven't ever considered it, try an organizational tool like Trello to help set short term goals and plan :) Rick (from Game Dev TV) gives a great course called "Finish It" too if you haven't checked it out that helped me a lot get motivated and organized with my projects :)

Oh yeah i know about Rick Davidson. Do you know Tim Ruswick? He is the one that told me to rather submit for the jam.

Googled, and I've seen him yes :)
