The music in this game is awesome! The platforming was really tricky, and the falling eggs really liked to just casually nudge me in all the wrong directions. It didn't help that jumping down slopes didn't always work. I had to try multiple times, but I eventually got to see the egg wizard himself in all his yolky glory. Overall, it was a fun time!
Fun little platformer, great job! Jumping did feel a little awkward, though I couldn't pinpoint exactly why.
If you were walking down a slope, jumping sometimes didn't activate. We're working on it in post, but it made jumps feel a little off depending on the kind of slope you are on and what direction you're running.
Love the music. It reminds of me Dethklok, hegg yeah! I had a problem trying to play though, it seemed like collisions were falling faster than the sprites because I was getting thrown around by nothing but then an egg would fly past. It just made it really hard to jump for me. Particularly the top of the second part (you go to the end, and jump back up -> at the top of that). But, like just age old question - which came first? I'll never know ;P nice job though!
Nice catch. I'm thinking it has to do with the collision shape. We had some ambitious plans we had to cut for time (lots of different egg types, shapes, and enemies) that we're doing for a full release. We will 100% look into this and do testing though! Thanks!
Yeah, I would look into how the collision shape is moving. Also, not sure if it's in your project vs a bug with exporting type thing. But just in case, you can view collision shapes for debugging in godot when running the game (if you didn't already know about it). This will help visualise the issue! And, classic for game jams! but hey, allows you to expand it later ^.^ you're welcome! ... But OH! MY GOD! I did not comprehend you guys made the music yourselves, that's incredible! Love it even more :OOOO
Also, our musician Peter Standing is brilliant and pretty much went for Egg + Dethklok = win
Nice platform and original implementation of the theme!
The song is BRUTAL!
Thanks for playing! And he's working on a whole soundtrack for a full version that's going to start in more of a classic rock and gradually work up with the levels and difficulty until we're into something like Norwegian thrash metal or something for the final boss.
