The idea is very innovative and I like how we are given the role of saving humanity . Kudos to the team for this effort and the fact this was made in 10 days is cherry on top. Cheers!

Super amazing game. If this game is made in less than 2 weeks than super amazing work.
The UI,Music everything is polished.
I'll suggest work on this more and upload it somewhere. You'll get a great response.
Don't forget to play my game as well.
And if you guys win I won't be surprised.

Developer

Thank you, it means a lot! Yes it was a very busy couple weeks, especially with our programmer getting sick early on in development but we did our best. We've already talked it over and plan on continuing development on it, although I'm not sure if it would do better as a mobile targeted game or PC/console game. So many ways it can go. And yep I already played your game and left a comment! I like the artwork and I think the concept was very good :)

Amazing game! Hard to believe it was made in only two weeks, you obviously worked really hard on it!

Developer

Thank you so much! And yes, believe it or not we started a few days late so it was all done in ~10 days, but  they were very busy hard working days haha. I alone probably have close to 100 hours of time spent on it 😅   Believe   it or not the most difficult part was coming up with all the formulas for how the math would work and then turning the formulas into code. My write-up on how it works it is several pages long in google docs lol

Amazing Game!, i liked it

This is very solid game. Graphics and sound, it maybe little to long  first letter) But it's fun)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment! Haha yes, I'll have to take note of that for future projects. I find it easy getting sucked into writing fun backstories, but you're right for shorter games I need to keep the backstory shorter too.

The game was easy to understand and it was quite fun playing. Everything in the game is perfect, but adding more things in the game would be awesome. I hope that the actual vaccine will not include those side effects XD!!

Developer(+1)

I am relieved to hear you say it was easy to understand. I know there's a lot of text but we wanted to make sure that things were explained as best as possible while still making it a slight challenge to encourage players to experiment and analyze the results. I definitely want to add more to it after the jam is over, Geometrix Interactive had mentioned adding a heating element to the lab portion which is actually an idea we tossed around early in development but I think it would be a good addition (ie: heat the mixture at 120c for 10 seconds ). Really glad to hear you liked it though!

And yes, many of the side effects wouldn't be too fun if they were real haha. By the way, we made it so the side effects are randomized (from a long list) each time playing to encourage multiple playthroughs, since it only takes a few minutes to play. Here's  a  full  list  of  side  effects  if  you  want  a  laugh:

The UI, Game Design and Audio was top-notch. The game was simple and interesting.. really a work of professional. Instructions was very clear and easy to understand.. But should have been add the feature to skip the starting Intro of the game when the player launches the game for second time. Apart from that game is really good worth playing.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! You actually can skip the intro I just didn't get around to adding a dedicated button for it, but if you press spacebar about a dozen times it will go straight to the lab. I ended up just writing that on the game page but I do want to go back and make a button for it.

The visual and the audio is absolutely gorgeous! And I agree with what Mr_Aporia said, you could add more mechanics to the game. Maybe add an optional procedure to the mixing process like heating the chem to a certain temperature to make a different type of chem. Anyway good job to the devs! and the side effects are pretty hilarious :D

This game is amazing its visually stunning and the audio was great but from a game play stand point its really is lacking. On my first attempt of mixing random vials i found the cure and won. I would say there should have probably been some added mechanics for finding the cure and less text for all the text did bog down the pace a bit. This is visual impressive tho and i like the style but it does need a bit more on the game play side if you catch my drift.

Developer

Thanks for the critique! I agree there's a lot more we wanted to do with the gameplay but had to cut a lot with our programmer coming down with an illness during development. It's definitely possible to get a cure on your first try, although its certainly not the norm. I hope you played through more than once to get a feel for how it plays when you don't get it right away :)

The best game so far. The animations , art and audio are super well polished.  I loved the texts, they look like actually legit medical papers :) But at my opinion gameplay is a bit lacking. For example you could add some more indepht elements to chosing chemicals like some kind of small puzzle to decide. But it's just my opinion, because I can see that there is some kind of system behind checking how effective is vaccine, not just chosen randomly, so maybe thats enough for the gameplay. Also why there is no WEGL build, it'so easy to do it in Unity

Developer(+1)

Hey thank you for your in depth review and comments! You're right, we had more plans to implement a slightly more complex mechanic into the game but our programmer got very sick shortly into development and was unable to work on it for 5 days so we did the best we could in the time we had left :(

As for the WebGL build we considered it but in testing we had some issues where it wouldn't display the glass shader properly and the glass and liquid looked solid. Since it's a major component of the game we figured it was best not to  include that build since it wouldn't be a good representative of the games visuals. If we continue to develop this game further we'll probably look into using a different glass shader that works with WebGL.

Good feeling in general, the more of less subtle humor made me want to read all of that big bloc of text in the beginning, the “never high enough percentage” made me want to achieve perfection even if the cure was viable enough already.

By the way is it stuck at 88% or I can’t just find the solution ? XD

The animations are really fluids but to slow, it might discourage people to try multiple times.  The texts is funny and the symptomes too, so why the games feel so dark and serious ? I don't know if I want to save them or literally make them literally  say 'literally' literally everytime. XD

It would have been nice to have a summary of the already used formula.

Overall its a well known concept might be nice to twist it a little now that you have a good base.

For exemple multiple levels with a formula that need 3 to 5 to 8 doses. The player can learn to recognize the wrong formula by looking and slowly learning the symptomes as the difficulty increases.

Thanks for the game Good luck

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your review and comments! You can definitely achieve 98%, most likely you were off by one part or chemical, so if you want to try again pay close attention to the hints, and for the best chance of success start off by trying 3 chemicals the first go around and check the hints later on.

You have a point about the dark/serious nature and funny symptoms. At first it felt too dark/serious and I wanted to lighten the mood to make it less bleak to play so we added in the humorous side effects - besides the entire concept of mixing random chemicals together for a vaccine is a bit silly in the first place, but I agree I think we could make it overall a bit less serious feeling.

A summary of the formula is one of the things we thought about including but just ran out of time to add. I thought about adding a clipboard or paper to the lab showing the last one used, but in its current state there's also an element of memory test to the game so it all depends on how you look at it.

Thanks again for your feeback! :)

Really polished, had a great time. Loved the introduction, and the side effects that you came up with were hilarious. Full marks on innovation!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! We worked really hard to make a polished and interesting game. I'll be sure to play, rate, and comment on your game  today - it looks like a fun time!

I agree, its a nice and polished game.
