Adorable game. Super cute art, sound and music!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Really nice game, love the pixel art a lot. The mechanics were pretty interesting too, the interpretation of the theme there was something i'd never think of lol. Controls were pretty annoying at times, felt pretty slow and unresponsive a lot of the time though, so that wasn't the best. But apart from that this was a really fun game, great job!!
Thanks very much! And I appreciate the feedback on controls, I agree. Should have made the movement quicker / more responsive, good to know for future platformer games
Yeah, that would work a lot better imo. Would appreciate if you could check out my game too :)
I thought this was a really inspired entry and (like the other commenters it appears) was very nostalgic playing remembering the good old gameboy days. The sweet / sour mechanism rocked, I thought that was a perfect interpretation of the theme! Great fun.
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it
I completed levels 1-4 without using dash and only realised you could do it on level 5 which helped avoid the onslaught.
Like the other reviewer said about being Gameboy era type game, which I agree with and enjoyed a lot, probably because of this. Was stuck on the last level for a bit, at which point I just collected the first few lemons and flew to the end, it was very satisfying crushing the enemy's.
Overall, quite fun experience and is my favourite out of the line-up.
Lol well I'm glad you were still able to get through the game without dashing! I should have put in-game instructions but ran out of time. Thanks for your feedback and kind words!
Got as far as the level with all the frogs, where I couldn't get past. There's some interesting gameplay choices here with allowing an infinite mid-air dash and countering it with hp loss unless picking up the fruit. I can see that being expanded upon. The aesthetic is also very gameboy color, reminds me a lot of the older Kirby games. Controls felt a little bit sluggish, I'd speed the character up personally. Nice game!
Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback~~! I agree with the slow speed, could have made it snappier
