The game has now been updated to support using the mouse, a game controller, or the keyboard!

It’s short and sweet. I enjoyed the atmosphere, characters, and the little bit of exploration here. The mouse controls and audio descriptions are intuitive. My biggest suggestion would be to add keyboard controls. The arrow keys and Enter and Space would suffice. If this were to be expanded with more content, then I’d consider a settings screen with an option for adjusting the turning speed. I’d also love it if the gamepad had the left stick mapped and maybe some haptics when facing and interacting with things. Nice work!

You mean instead of the right stick? I was going off of what I am used to for camera controls in video games, but if the left stick feels more natural that is good information.

It could always be both sticks. I wondered if it was going for a single-hand control scheme, which the right stick solves beautifully. When I picked up the gamepad, however, I tried wiggling the left stick first. It seemed that certain sounds walk circles around you, so having a thumb on the stick made them easier to track. I ended up playing with my controller sideways.

This was a nice experience! I found the 360 looking mechanic to be very intuitive, and combined with the notification of entering and leaving an interactable area, I wasn't ever confused about what I could interact with. I really enjoyed the voice acting. Does the game so far end when *spoilers* you trade the apple? I was never able to find my way back to the druid you meet at the beginning.

If I had to provide constructive feedback, I think while the mouse navigation system feels good, it was easy to loose track of what direction i was facing or how far i had turned; I never developed a clear sense of the map even though it wasn't large. This could possibly be improved by adding more descriptions to the path audio descriptions to include cardinal directions or landmarks, or maybe having a constant audio loop from one cardinal direction like a stream to help maintain orientation. I think the hitboxes for interacting with certain things could be larger as well.

Overall I really like this addition to the jam and salute you for developing a unique way to interact with an audio-only game world!!!

The game ends when you bring the crystal back to the druid

I loved this. I hope it's made into a full game at some point. The mouse point and click is very unique, and I loved the descriptive text and interaction mechanics. Extending the game, perhaps there are more crystals and each one contains different sounds of the forest. You could unlock the soundscape as you play. One note though, not many totally blind players are comfortable with the use of a mouse. Alternative keys for rotating and interacting would be great. Thank you for the submission. I really enjoyed the game.
