Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • The hitboxes of the ice aren't too clear, it's easy to hit them without even realizing it.
  • From a gameplay perspective this entry is quite frustrating, especially when I got to the big maze where I had to use crazy precision only to find out I wasn't even on the right path! However, as a showcase of engine features, this is very cool. Streaming tiles is a real challenge and you pulled it off nicely. It's fun to see mosaic in use too, that effect doesn't get enough love!
  • Such a simple but fun mechanic. Kind of addictive, it got me trying to speed run the early levels, especially the one almost in a straight line.
  • Collision seemed a little off sometimes, but nice little game
  • Good entry! It shows that you have spent some time polishing the game with things like language select, progress saving and hardware tricks like mosaic and raster effects. However, basic music and audio scratches between scene transitions bring the experience down.

Jam ROM submission

Ok - understood! I attached the GBA ROM file as "MYGAMENAME_jam.gba".

Existing assets
Instruments for music come from the ModArchive (https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=84842)

I used my own GBA engine library, Astralbrew, which is still under development, but some compiled binaries ready to link are available in GlaciaDungeon's Github repository, at the Releases section.

The game itself have been thought of and developed in the last half of the jam.

Thank you for your nice words! Your idea sounds interesting, I'll give it a thought sometime.

A frictionless game. Enjoyable but very hard. I like the multi-level parallax in the menu.

Thank you! Yep, I wanted to try some new things haha :))

Please make sure the game has a "_jam.gba " download, as per the rules. Thanks

Thank you very much! I completely forgot about that. I uploaded the file with the required name.
