I can't get it to work on my Mac, OS version 10.13.6, Java 1.8.0_181.

Quite fun and could be expanded into a rpg where you sail arround a world fighting pirates. Only issue is that it looks too good to be on a game boy. I would also add a label in the start where it says "Press enter to start"

You make a good point with the label on the start screen. Yes, the graphics are too good for GB - I just had this idea laying around and I wanted to make something in real 3D.
Maybe I will expand this in a post-jam version...
