I'm having a lot of trouble getting anywhere. I kept finding myself falling short because of how long the tongue takes to reach its full length, or missing jumps entirely because the aiming system is sort of clunky.  I think the control limitations just aren't built for quick aiming as a mechanic - you took the Yoshi's Island route but that's a much slower paced game where you never have to hit anything while moving yourself. The Flash game Give Up Robot is a good example of a similar grappling hook system with only arrows and a button to shoot your line in one direction, if you're interested in seeing other interpretations of the concept.

This game does not feel very intuitive. The music and art looks good, but it was difficult to get anywhere.

At the very start, I am trying to collect all the coins, but after died thousands time. I lost my patience of collect them.... Sorry. It very fun to figure out the mechanics.How about add some check points? Anyway Good Job!

It's hard to control at first, but once I get better to it, it's really fun to run around and bounce around.
But... Very hard!

Good game! I like the swinging mechanic. It's probably just a bit too hard for me. A few checkpoints would really help. I enjoyed it though and I think the idea of a sticky frog platformer is worth exploring further!

aw dang, if you can get past that part you'll finish the first level D: when the jam's done i can upload a slightly easier version with checkpoints! ran out of time to add that to the jam version unfortunately. thanks for the comment tho, glad you find it fun!

ps. you might find it easier to go above instead of under the last part.

I beat the first level using what felt like Mario 1-2 Warp Zone!!!


Such a fun moment. Though, I have a feeling I'm still really bad at this game. Level 2 is tough!! And there's a special ending for all the coins too??

yesssssss you made it!! and that warp zone path was 100% the influence for that design, glad you recognized it :D

edit: also yep, if you get all 30 coins there's a special ending level :3 it's definitely a challenge lol

Tough platformer with a super cool mechanic! I love how the grapple also acts as a way of attacking! Great music too!!
