Interesting game :).
It’s short but worked very well. Congratz.
I like the atmosphere and music of this game. It's a shame that can't listen the music enough, because the game is so short.
I can see this involving some mindgames/strategy when playing against another person! Cool game!
Fun game and suprisingly challenging :)
I feel like the music didn't really fit the Gameboy-ness theme of the jam. But I loved the title-screen aesthetic and the fade-over, really nicely done!
i suck in doing music 😅😂 but thank you for trying the game 🤩
The sounds effects for this are nice!!! I love the press start noise- the bleeps and bloops just mesh really well together.
Hmm, am I wrong to think the best strategy is to always play your highest cards? I don't get the advantage of playing lower cards..
For now, playing low cards is needed if you want to achieve Draw and Reset your hand ... But in the future there will be (special ability) cards that the enemy might play to destroy your last played card for example..
Also thank you for enjoying the game😍
The concept of forcing a draw/reset when the odds are against you is interesting. But I found myself already losing on the opening hand many times. Maybe if you force the starting card for both players to be low, this might happen less often.
Good stuff.
i totally agree, i have some fixes planned to avoid the (I AM THE UNLUCKIEST) behavior 😂
You can find a refined version of the game in the gotm.io link in the game page
This was a really cool game, not sure if the audio translates as well but it is definitely a game like the game boy. The graphics were pretty cool, good job!.
Thank you for the review, I am also aware of the Audio delay caused by WASM, (you can always try the downloadable for the best results)
