Super simple and elegant gameplay loop! And nicely executed too!

Super solid game. Nice sprite work, solid gameplay, and even a boss battle at the end!

Excellent game, congrats!

You can return here after you get the wall jump, then use the left wall.

Maybe I should've used Select to toggle between worlds, and leave B for glide. I might experiment with that and see how it feels.

Thanks for playing!

This certainly pushes the limits of GB Studio. Once I realized I needed to fire one bullet at a time to keep them visible, the boss fight was a lot smoother.
Very ambitious game, nice entry.

This is the perfect scope for a jam game. A nice concept executed nicely. Beautiful presentation, cool atmosphere.

This is a very solid entry, congrats!

Multiple skins in a jam game? That's a luxury!
Solid game, nice presentation. Congrats!

Wonderfully crafted atmosphere! Hearing the monster nearby kept me at the edge of my seat. Good stuff!

Cute character design! And it's nice to finally see a big font in a gameboy game!

Solid concept, congrats!

Looking forward to see this concept fleshed out, this is a very solid starting point. Congrats!

Very solid platformer! Super intuitive and straightforward. Cool entry, congrats!

Part of what makes precision platformers appealing is being able to retry instantly after failing. I died a lot here, and being kicked to the level select screen made it a bit tedious to retry. Besides that, this is a super well polished game, lots of content, beautifully presented. Awesome game, congrats!

The timing for the fireballs is a bit tricky, but the high jump + downward fireballs was really fun to play with.

Solid entry, congrats!

A subtle grid on the floor would help a lot for memorizing the targets. Cool concept, nicely executed!

Thank you for playing!!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words!

Really solid game. The controls are super tight and responsive, and the level was huge!

The ambience was really spooky. The environmental changes were a nice touch, made me second guess what's lurking in the dark. Excellent game, congrats!

Thank you so much for playing!

The atmosphere is so tense and oppressive, love it!

Took some time to learn the rules, but very fun once you get it. Solid entry, congrats!

That's a good start!

OMG I just got jumpscared by the round face thingie! I was not expecting it!!

Lovely art and puzzle design! Congrats!

Exquisite use of dithering on your sprite work!

Dashing through the small gaps took a couple tries to get, but besides that, very solid game. Lovely characters and nice presentation overall. It's awesome to see these kind of games can be made with GB Studio, makes me want to try it sometime.

Cool game, congrats!

Ah! The power trip after getting a new ability never gets old!
Thank you so much for playing!!

It was fun to make sprites that were only seen in the ghost world (like the sword slash) being shaded in negative, since the color brightness values are backwards while controlling the ghosts.
Thank you so much for playing!

I'm definitely revisiting the glide+walljump stuff post-jam. It's great that you didn't give up!

Thank you so much for playing!

Gliding into a wall resets the player into the jump state, and from there you can walljump. But players that hit jump right before hitting the wall will just disengage the glide and need to press the button again to walljump. I see how this can be cumbersome, and I'll have to figure out a way to handle these cases.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you so much for the kind words!
... I guess now I need to figure out what happens after that TBC screen... huh.

Looking forward to play this with music, eventually. This is a very solid start!

I loved the atmosphere. It gave me C64 Project Firestart but in first person vibes. Very well executed game, congrats!

Nice atmosphere and gameplay, congrats!

Nice little game, reminds me of a maze game for the Atari 2600 that had a similar premise. Congrats!

This game is just amazing. Very polished presentation and excellent level design. Congrats!

Lovely adventure, but the navigation interface could be a bit friendlier. For example, if we're not allowed to go a certain direction at some point, there's no need to list it as an option. Presentation was nice and polished, nice entry!

Please consider adding a bit of invincibility time when exiting from a door, I got hit by a zombie a couple times and couldn't avoid it. Really solid entry.

Very interesting concept, and the atmosphere is very well crafted. I'll give it another go once the controls are fixed. Good stuff so far!

Nicely executed little game! The art style is awesome, congrats!

It would be awesome if once we try again we don't need to read all the text again. Besides that, this was a pretty spooky experience, nice lighting effects and atmosphere! Congrats!
