Pretty nice game. The game felt a little bit sparse design wise, and the platform where there's 4 monsters was hard for me to get through. I do like the the constant moving and the use of freezing hearts to tell the player to keep moving. Good job on completing for the game jam!

Nice game!

I noticed the GUI didn't scale to fit my 4k monitor, so it was a bit hard to read the prompts, but i got used to it.

Also I'd suggest adding more effects to really nail the theme of the jam into this entry ;)

Good work

English:

Pros: The game is just a bomb, I'm glad I played it. I really like that the character moves smoothly. Cool special effects of enemy death and storms. Cool sound. I especially like the design, the artist is well done.

Cons: Few levels. The game is slightly unfinished. Few weapons.

But since this is the first game, the result is simply magnificent.

Thanks! In animations, the merits are not only of the artist, but also mine, because I collected everything bit by bit. The most interesting thing is that before the start of the project, the artist not only did not draw, but also did not know in which program to do it. But as for me, the sound producer tried the most, respect to him for that.

I think you did a great job capturing the atmosphere with this! I'm curious, there was a second gun of sorts in the first level, was that supposed to do something different than the pistol? Being unable to both back up and shoot at an oncoming enemy was a little disappointing for me, I find being able to aim really helps improve the way a game feels.

Thanks! There is two guns in my game: small and big. Small gun shoots faster, but damage is lower. If there were two identical pistols, then this is a bug, and I will fix it. Why couldn't you back up and shoot? Have you stopped?

I had fun with your game! I really liked the audio, but the controls were a little bit weird to use, and the lack of sound effects took some stuff away. But the player sprite was great and I really liked the background too, though I think it could have been scaled a bit bitter.  Congrats on getting it all done and submitted on time!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We conceived too much, and did not manage to do everything, including finishing the sounds. We did everything from scratch ourselves, so we had to spend a lot of time. As for the background, I agree. I wanted to make the effect of a small man in a huge forest, but I overdid it a little. But still, for the first jam, the game turned out to be quite good, didn't it?

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely! For a first try, it was really well done!

Cute little game, it's not bad

I think you were a little bit too ambitious with all of what you added in the game. It's much better to focus on a couple simple mechanics that affect the way you play rather than a bunch of little different details.

Developer(+1)

yeah, we didn't add a lot of mechanics we want. But this is our first jam and this game is interesting i think.

I really like the animations and art tho pro tip you should try to scale it to the same size that way the pixels look more consistent. The spikes need to be a bit more noticeable and the movement feels a bit too floaty. But you got a lot done in such a short time so credits to that and besides all that, good work, keep it up and you'll improve more in no time!

Thanks!

Good job overall! I love the environment and the snow effect! I can tell you're pretty green at art/animation too, but honestly keep doing these jams and working at it and you're on track to improving fast.

I gotta ask why the frozen hearts were there though, mostly just because it feels like it was added just to fit the theme rather than something you would've included naturally to add in gameplay. Remember that the theme is more often than not something to encourage creativity, not some limitation where if you don't follow it to a T you won't do well!

Other than that, keep up the good work man!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for review! I only added frozen hearts to fit the theme, but I thought they would fit well with the game's concept. This is the first time I've set up the animations, so I'm very glad you like them!

Actually had fun playing this. Love the way how you made the hearts go frozen when the player dont move. Great Job! Btw. love the tune

Thanks! Your comment is very important to me! Isn't it too hard?

Submitted(+2)

Could be easier, yes. However, after getting used to it gets easier.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for review! My next game will be easier.
