Aiming was a little clunky and the sound was a little too repetitive with the wheel - also it looked like i could just typed in an angle which i would've preferred to do! Really enjoyable voice lines, story is barebones but exists which is more than most jam games can say. I loved the aesthetics of the letters and stuff in the opening but did feel a little bit let down by the map art, in game art was adequate.
I managed to win despite feeling i was doing terribly each round so that's pretty good balance. Easy to imagine something like propellant and shells costing money, different types of both, etc.. if you were to try to flesh this out further.
Real solid game that provides a complete experience!
Vocals are funny ahah Really well done. Also the visual are cool and enjoyable.
Gj for submitting ^^
I really enjoyed the voice acting and the story, it really added a lot to the game. I did find that the game was a little loud at points, and I couldn't tab out to turn the volume down, though that could be a me issue. The wheel for the artillery took a bit of getting used to, but it felt okay once I did. I thought the difficulty was good and it had a really good difficulty curve. Great job getting all this done in a week!
Wow, this game felt very in depth!
It got me cracking up from the creative voicelines, and I think that's where the flesh of the game really stands, in the story.
I was a bit disappointed that this project didn't exhibit more "juicy" gameplay, and I think (although the tutorial art was awesome) the gameplay art style was a bit underwhelming.
Great work on this game though! It seems to have taken a lot of time to put together, and I'm shocked that someone actually included a story in a week-long game jam entry!!
Great game! The voice acting was very well done, and the graphics were nice too! The impact of a missile hitting an enemy tank also felt really satisfying, contributing nicely to the "juice" of the game.
The controls for aiming felt alright, though I feel like it could have been a little easier to use. Additionally I did run into an error where I couldn't be killed by tanks, the hp getting into the negatives (the error I'm getting is that the FadeToBlackDeath animation was not found, at line 1128 of scene/animation/animation_player.cpp).
Other than those two problems though I thought this was a well made game. It was fun, and the tutorial and intro was nicely informative and well put together. Well done!
Pretty fun overall, the controls are a bit difficult to use and with the pressure of motorcycles it is extremely hard to be accurate and fast enough to not die, has a lot of potential though and i liked the art and sounds.
Dang, y'all held nothing back on the production value of this game. Incredible job voice acting and storytelling, I loved every moment of it and that's definitely where you're the strongest at.
The actual mechanics of the game are a bit lackluster though, I could just input 4 propellants and set the angle to 4-5 degrees and beat pretty much anything. There isn't really any challenge, and spinning the wheel to change the firing angle is a bit annoying since it likes to lag behind a bit. It's not totally unsalvagable, but you definitely need to work on the system a bit more.
The tutorial was also kinda long and drawn out, at least for the pretty simple system you have. Most could've been explained with a blurb or just letting players mess around with the buttons a bit until they hit the dummy. It can be skipped at least, so no real reason to complain about it lol.
