Really cool game. Graphics and gameplay are cool. I like the other fishes and that you need to take oxygen or what it is to shoot and move. Also the ambient is nice and dark. Gj :)
Im glad you enjoyed it thank you for playing and the kind words :)
Very beautiful game with great presentation! The eel felt great to control and it fit the theme as well! Our biggest gripe is that there wasn't much of a goal to the game. Adding a timer that ticks up or a score would add a bit but It honestly felt so good just floating around. Also, more spawns (enemies and powerups) would have been nice. It felt pretty aimless otherwise. Don't let this criticism discourage you though! This project has been our favorite so far to play! Amazing work!
Thank you very much for the kind words and the feedback! Im honored that my game has been your favorite so far too! :)
I like the idea behind this game, but I don't think the execution was too great. It's waaaay too difficult to fight or dodge enemies since oxygen is fairly limited and attacks are costly (meaning it's not worth using it a lot of the time) but at the same time the player moves too slow to dodge, so any encounter with more than one enemy is pretty much a death sentence as far as I can tell. If you can figure out a way to make it more balanced in favour of the player, I think you can get something good, but it definitely needs a lot of workshopping.
Thanks for the feedback, the balance was something that I wasnt happy with and I wish that I had more time to work on it before the jam ended. My time management needs some improving is a big thing that was revealed to me by participating in this jam.
Pretty good!
Very interesting setting for a game, and also fits very well with the core game mechanic. But on that note, I feel like you just threw a bunch of different stuff and power up ideas into the game, none of which really alter the way you play. In my experience it's much better to have a couple ideas and explore them to the max rather than a bunch of different mechanics that ultimately are just filler (I've made the same mistake before).
Interesting idea for a game, not bad at all.
Thanks for the feedback. I was intending for this to be a more casual game but my execution and the balance ended up making it too difficult and not at all rewarding. For the future I plan to put more focus on balancing and also time management.
Spooky!
A fun take on the snake formula. I like the difficulty in movement to avoid taking damage and graphics-wise, the retro style is nice. Gj Blimmy Games!
Fun game, found myself wandering at times for quite a moment, I like the sacrifice life for ammo mechanic
Thanks for the feedback I am glad you enjoyed it :)
