This is a really good effort. I would have liked some sound effects, and I felt as though the star was kind of fiddly to control to begin with - it's very floaty and it seems as though you can only really add momentum in one direction (of four) at a time - but the idea is a a good fit for the theme and I'm impressed by the variety of bullet hell attacks. The sun's "follow you with a beam for a bit before locking it in place and shooting" one is especially good.
If you were to do more with this I'd LOVE to see the two bosses used to defeat one another. You could goad the sun into firing that beam at the moon, and get the moon's homing shot to hit the sun. I found myself trying to do it anyway just for fun.
Peculiar game, switching the bosses is a nice concept and this game could have potential to be continued upon.
Well done.
Nice game! I didn't really understand the objective of the game until I saw the counter at the top that went up when you picked up the yellow tokens. I think instead of making the star more difficult to control, making each boss get progressively harder over time, like sending out more bullets or attacking faster will make the game more exciting and challenging. But the idea of switching between two bosses is a really interesting concept, and I hope you expand more on it in the future!
Actually its the sun gets progressively faster and the moon harder like i put in the description but you are right its not impactful enough :,)
Not a bad start with an interesting concept. It took me a sec to realize I could fly the ship around and collect tokens. Love the art, nice! Hope to see more done with it. Heck of a job at your age too!
And if you get a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!
Toggling two different bosses is a very novel concept
I appreciate the honesty of your description lol. I did eventually figure out you need to move your ship(the white asterisk?) around to capture yellow planets(?). I definitely think there is a lot more that can be done with this mechanic, so hopefully you two keep going! Great first pass!
you two? i was alone :,)
Solid effort, though I found it quite challenging to grasp the game's objective.
