This game was super fun! I really love the puzzles and the lines of dialogue are charming. A small quality-of-life change would be to have the skip dialogue and the next dialogue button be the same, as alternating between space and enter was a bit annoying. However, I do understand that it prevents players from accidentally skipping text, so maybe having them being customizable in a menu would be the best solution. That's out of scope for a game jam game, but maybe in the future! Overall, the puzzles were very fun and I liked all of the mechanics!
This was a super cool game! The mix of 2D and 3D mechanics was amazing! I really loved the color of the 2D puzzle too; it really stood out against the grays of the 3D world. The music was also really fun and boppy. I feel like the puzzles jumped in difficulty a bit too soon and it could have felt a bit smoother if the more complicated mechanics were introduced a bit slower. Though, this could just be a me problem lol. All in all, this was a super impressive, fun game!
Whoa, this was super fun! The graphics were very charming and the colors were nice! I'm not sure if it was intentional, but in the later levels, most of the time, I didn't know which switch corresponded to which items. I was just shooting at the switches randomly and hoping that one of them set off the piece I needed. It wasn't so confusing that I felt it hurt my experience, and I could understand if this was a deliberate design choice. In the case that it wasn't, or you plan on adding more types of switches and items in the future, I think having the switches have a differing pattern that corresponded to the item they're linked to would go a long way in communicating what they did. Other than that, the game was the right amount of difficult and I beat the boss by the skin of my teeth! Nice game!
Thank you so much!! I did want to do more with the battle system, especially in terms of how the enemy played, but I unfortunately ran out of time. Future enemies would probably take more advantage of the buffs and changing clothes system, and the player would have to rely more on it as well. Thank you for your feedback!
This was super fun! I love the color scheme and all of the very different minigames you added! The music was also really nice and added to the atmosphere. I think the controls in the final hacking minigame felt a little slippery, but that might just be me coping after failing at it so many times lol. Overall, this was a super cute retro-style game and I look forward to seeing more of your games in the future!
Whoa, this game was super cool! The graphics and voice acting are top-notch, especially for a game jam game. I really loved the cutscene at the beginning. I was expecting the kick to have more knockback so that I could have more time to charge up the boombox. But other than that, I thought this was a super charming and fun game!
Nice game! I didn't really understand the objective of the game until I saw the counter at the top that went up when you picked up the yellow tokens. I think instead of making the star more difficult to control, making each boss get progressively harder over time, like sending out more bullets or attacking faster will make the game more exciting and challenging. But the idea of switching between two bosses is a really interesting concept, and I hope you expand more on it in the future!
This was such a charming game! I loved the voices and sound effects. I didn't really understand the rock-paper-scissors mechanic and just button-mashed whenever I was in an Honor Off, but if Honor Offs had music where you had to time the rock-paper-scissors to the beat, that could make it a lot more engaging! The art was also super cute. I hope to see more of Pony Princess in the future!
Wow, very fun game! The concept seems so simple but it's surprisingly addictive. I really liked the sound effects. The clickiness of the switches and the sound of the spaceships were so nostalgic for some reason lol. The minigames are very tricky without being too frustrating. I think with more polish to the UI and graphics, this could become a really fantastic game!
Fun game! However, it did take me a little bit to understand how the game worked. I think adding a quick tutorial would really help. I don't really understand what the button and the lightbulb are for. I kept pressing the button and saw the lightbulb turning red which would sometimes activate some items, but since you can activate most items with the pointer, I don't understand what it's for. But exploding stuff is always very fun, and I'm happy my name is on the leaderboard haha. Looking forward to seeing what you make in the future!
Fun game! It really reminded me of Jump King and all those other brutal rage games lol. I did get a bit dizzy on the transition from the second to the third screen. The frog jumping meant the entire screen flashed every second and I had a hard time seeing where I was supposed to land. Loved the thumbnail and the minimalistic art style the game has!
I love the graphics and the puzzles in this game! It fits the theme very well. Just one thing: I think in the last level, it should be clearer that you need to get the card key to open the door. You can just walk straight into the door without the card key, but it seems to abruptly turn off controls. But other than that, it's a really charming game and I can definitely see it being built into a bigger puzzle game!
