That was great. Good level of polish. I expected I could type in the romanized version to activate the japanese ships but that didn't end up being the case and kind of hurt my brain typing them in with no feedback.

The initial idea was to have some power up interaction with them, but time ran out and I thought it would be funny to let them in, specially if you translate them. Two ships in a single lane is definitely a bug, sorry about that!

@bollard Thanks! I had a lot of run looking through shitgiantbombsays tumblr to find those quotes, so many good ones! Shift-tab is a great suggestion, i did not think of that! If I have the time I'll update it to add this and fix some of the bugs!

I think this is my favourite one so far, so well done! I was expecting some feature with the Japanese script, whereby some power-up would translate them and allow me to type them out, but I got a good laugh out of it anyway.

There was one issue where two ships were in a single lane, and I could only attack the topmost one, meaning I just had to concede the lower one. But yeah, really solid typing game, and really well presented. Good job!

Really like the presentation and the bombcrew quotes. That intro scroll made me chuckle. Really like the presentation, tutorial wasn't bad too. As others have said, hiragana ones were a bit shitty, would have been good if they didn't punish you (I had 4 really fast). I like being able to tab between lanes but then I just got sad I couldn't shift-tab to go back a lane :/ Nice work though, I love Typing of the Dead style games.

jwang19 It is unfair indeed, I'll try to think of away to make them work. Sorry about the letters, I did not have time to fix that in the end, should be simple, I'll take a look into that!

I really enjoyed the game. Presentation is very clean and nicely polished. Having TAB to switch lanes is genius, I naturally pressed TAB without even thinking about it.

My only complaints are that the hiragana ships are unfair as there is no way to kill them. I get that it's a joke, but I would have preferred that they didn't take any lives off. Also I had some trouble seeing the letters when I typed on the red lane.

haha yeah I did hit tab myself by instinct during testing so I decided to put it in! More words are easy to add, it's just that I was so tired by the end (I had only 5 days because I was busy before), that I was out of ideas for more words, might update it later on, if you had any ideas let me know =)

Really great job duder! Was not expecting a typing game going into this and I was pleasantly surprised. The entire presentation is pretty top-notch, especially for only 8 days of work! I also wanted to say nice heads up on letting TAB switch to the next lane. I was hitting that naturally as I was typing and only after a few moments did I realize "hey, that actually did what I thought it would!"

Only real complaint is that there aren't enough words.

There are supposed to be hiragana ships, but they should be same speed as the others (speed varies depending on the lane), and also not very frequent at all =/

It sent hiragana ships at me, and I don't have those letters on my keyboard... and then it started sending of those at me over and over way faster than any other ship, and got a forced game over in about 40 seconds.

Forced game over is not great, not sure how much of that is bug, but otherwise pretty strong!
