Just had a play, unfortunatley I'm not really sure what I was meant to do, I think a little more guidance would have gone a long way e.g. Saying which creatures get distracted by which plants and maybe saying which creature would be more popular that night? It felt like i was putting random plants down and hoping for the best.

Thought this was an intriguing idea well done! Played a few times but struggled a bit to understand any progress or clear strategy though (my carrots were useless!).

Great work! And I love that you are family!

An interesting take on tower defense. I really like the old-school art and the isometric view. It's got a complete game loop and a simple premise to understand. I really like the quality-of-life features, like being able to toggle the audio and the slider for game speed. Great job overall and the family collaboration aspect is really nice.

Some criticisms:

  • Clarify which plants distract which pests and that gofers spawn randomly to consume a plant. I also think it's a bit harsh that the gofers can consume the mana plants.
  • The mouse's colour is the same as the path tile colour, making it hard to distinguish the two.
  • Tiles that are not edge-adjacent to the path (i.e. diagonal vertex-adjacent tiles or two edge-adjacencies over) are unreachable by the pests. Either make them reachable or do not allow placement of plants on them.

I enjoyed it! It's a fun twist on tower defence, trying to placate the next wave of pests with single-use plants. My only comment is that once you start losing, it's hard to recover.

I like this mouse and cactus reference :)

This is such a nice game! Too bad I had problems selecting the empty crops... But everything fits perfectly: the audio, the theme, and the gameplay :)
