The sounds are really cute

Very nice little concept, the rotating threw me for a loop a little since I didn't read the description! Simple, but challenging and fun.

Very nice concept! It is pretty hard tho. However, I had a great time playing it ;)

The mechanic for the bottom part wasn't very clear for me initially. I had to lose quite a few times until I realized how it worked. Maybe, the visual feedback could be improved.

Good job. Great game!

Fun little concept! I was able to keep the ball at the bottom for a long time without getting hit but eventually something did got me there. Extra impressive if you did this while managing the GGJ, hats off.

Well done! While you two were juggling between preparing a music stream, managing a pub quiz and getting some sleep in between you even had some time for improvements after the first iteration.  Theme reference is obvious and the art is simple due to time restrictions but what matters is that you had a gameconcept in your head and made it work and made it very fun and addictive! Awesome!
Fun little improvement could maybe be to increase the speed of the audio the longer you manage to stay alive, just to increase the stress levels. Good brain training nonetheless, and pretty addictive once you read in the comments someone got higher than you..

Such simplicity, nicely done!  Found a bug? Keep the ball all the way at the bottom, it won't get hit.

Ah shit, thought we tweaked it enough but guess it's still a loophole. Thanks for playing!

Love this game. Super simple concept making it very easy to grasp and surprisingly addictive. I got up to 17, the screen rotation is evil! After hitting 17 I also got to 17 while being afk and letting the game run, so the game is both challenging, but also my keyboard is beating me. Great entry, especially while also hosting!

Thanks! Yeah, sometimes giving yourself limitations (like making a super simple game because not gonna have much time) can still work out hehe. Sorry that your keyboard is the better player *F*

This is such a simple yet cool concept. I like the twist of the camera tilt and I absolutely love the fact that the game doesn't stop when your score gets reset. My expectation was that I would have to get hit three times or something before the game stopped, but I later saw that i was playing for score.

I would love to play further iterations of this game!

Developer

Aw thanks so much for the nice comment :) Yeah you can just keep going and try to beat your own highscore. I was also happily surprised that with the simple concept it's still a nice challenging game. We'll see if we can think of some more things to improve the game some more :)

Yes it's the breakoutro! It fits the game quite well even.

Developer

Haha yeah I mean, since we made it, we had to atleast put it in ourselves :D

Kapling!  Funny little game, and quite hard. Especially when the camera starts turning... I haven't scored more than 14 points yet. Nice work!

Developer

Haha thanks for playing, yeah I mean my brain isn't helping me too when that camera turns. I wonder if anyone would be able to get it to 40 points when the camera should be on the starting rotation again.
