Haha, I like the fact that we used the same basic premise (shoot-em-up without shooting), borrowed the same free music AND even have similar nicknames! :) Your approach is very different from mine though, and feels quite satisfying to break through walls of enemies. Would be nice if my ship was a little bit faster (or enemies slower) so that I could still dodge somewhat reliably and running out of shield energy is less of a guaranteed death. Anyway, would play more of this! (It feels a bit short even for the scope of this game jam.)
Oh man, that's crazy! I didn't have time on Sunday to work on this project so I didn't have time to flesh out the level and tune the movement. I should've left more time for that. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
It's good that it's fast and frantic, but maybe the enemies move a bit too fast, and I don't like that the energy bar depletes faster if you touch more enemies, when you are required to deflect at least 3-4 enemies after 20 seconds of game time.
When I was initially planning the game I wanted to discourage shielding everything in sight but I think the final gameplay would feel better if you could bump things more often than not now that you mention it. Anyways, thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
I like the concept of your game, but it has the same problem as the one i worked on, it's too fast. the player movement is good even if it could be tweaked, but the asteroids and ships are way too fast.
