I really like your take on the "one-button" idea. (Mine is also just the space bar, but certainly not as unique as yours!) I really liked this game, even though it felt like sometimes the ball was literally unavoidable (but IDK how you'd fix that). Great job overall!
I didn't have the time to implement the "red zone" version two (the zone where the ball can't spawn), which would be try to make the first bounce always somewhat safe. Currently, the ball just can't teleport directly on top of you.
But you are somewhat safe on the walls at least.
Very quick to get into. Lots of depth nonetheless. High points!

Would have loved to hear some music and SFX in there. The design is nice though and the game is quite fun! :)
I would've loved that too. But I started searching for music too late, and had to give up on SFX for the time being because the library doesn't support canceling sound playback, and playing only smaller samples just wasn't really feasible.

Very interesting for a quick game, I did think that the downwards falling animation was a shield but got over that assumption pretty quick.
I love the strict adherence to the theme though, you did "only one" of everything in the game so that's impressive :D.
well, the cat has more than one move... But yeah, some of the "only one" things are more jokes (albeit true!), *especially* the source file one.
Are the hex and the shield while falling supposed to protect you? They look like they should but it doesn't feel like they do. I love the multiple moves on one button thing. I only managed to get to about 36 seconds but it's very fun.
No, nothing can protect you against the wool of doom, I'm sorry... I guess the spell just aren't strong enough.

Yeah, I've been making design-focused comments since that's the core of this jam, but the art had so much character...
There was actually less programming needed than I anticipated. So let's just say I was the one who got more sleep in those 48h XD
Designing the game mechanics was done by both of us though.
Haha! My brother is an artist so I know how that goes. I bet that took a lot of work. My team on this jam (teamwintergreen) are both programmers so we didn't do any art at all, and we chose a very simple core mechanic, had the base game running in about four hours, and then it was just thinking up crazy level designs and doing little bugfixes and adding a bit of UI and control tweaks. Most relaxed game jam I've ever done. :)

The feature of the teleporting ball of wool is fun, it helps to switch up the game a bit. A very nice touch.
So cute and so very addicting. Love the character design.
Really fun. Feels kind of janky at times because of rng ball respawn but it is probably more fun that way.
