Clever idea, nice graphics. I included it in my GMTK Game Jam 2019 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I really like this games core mechanic. It is well executed and polished.
Cool idea! I really like the artstyle and level of polish in this game
Well thought out and well polished! I liked how there was an interplay between maintaining situational awareness and safety. Although it seems like you can make yourself 'perfectly safe' if you play very slowly. I really like the design! If you work on it post-jam, I think it might be good to add more elements that might force you to hurry up at times, or force you to be less cautious. Very good entry!
Excellent idea, i had a lot of fun playing this, great job congratulations! The one light thing fits the theme so well.
Really good! Great visuals and the light was a fun mechanic.

The core mechanic of having the light is pretty neat, but I feel like the supporting mechanics don't work too well. Your levels are all just mazes, which is not particularly fun to play. The spikes give me a reason to keep the light on the player as I move, which you have to do anyway. It would have been interesting if I had to remember the layout of the spikes rather than just keep the light on the player whenever I move. The enemies are way too slow to be relevant.
In terms of doing different mechanics. Perhaps more threatening enemies and some kind of combat? Perhaps a switch that's triggered by the light to force the player to move in darkness?
There's potential in the idea, though!
fun overall never felt the ghosts were a threat, and the spikes were also more of an annoyance. I don't understand the last level as much there were two key and only one was needed for the exit i guess there was a secret somewhere... good game though
Thank you for the feedback!! I will definitely take your suggestion into consideration, it's brilliant!! Glad you liked the game <3
Great! The pixel art is great even the cursor looks good. Wish you introduce some new mechanics later on in the game but then it ended. Anyway I had a lot of fun.

Thanks glad you liked it <3
Nice job! I really liked the way that the ghosts and the skulls worked together, forcing you too keep it close to see where you're going, but keep it on the ghosts at the same time so that they don't kill you! It was a lot of fun, if a bit easy, but the art looked great and the feeling of tension was very enjoyable. Well done!
Thank you!! Glad you liked our mechanics <3
Great game, it actually is quite similar to a bigger game I'm currently working on (because of the "only one light" theme). I liked the design, definitely has some potench. Maybe you can click the ghost to destroy them but that consumes your light a little (and need to find another source of light to replenish), because at one point I was completely surrounded by ghosts and couldn't do anything but die, so this is just one suggestion.
Thank you for your feedback, glad you liked it!! Difficulty is a hard one, some say it's ok, some say it's too easy, will try to find the perfect spot <3
While the game is really original and really fits the theme, I'll lower my rating on the design aspect for a few reasons.
The ghosts are supposed to be your main concern, since it's supposed to distract yourself from the spike and having to juggle between the two obstacles. However, since the ghosts are slow, they are not a real threat : even then, simply walking holding the torch perfectly protects you from ghosts, as the hallways are almost always big enough for you to pass through and the fact that ghosts cannot approach you while holding the torch. The game is then about seeking your path through the darkness and avoiding spikes.
The concept is really good, but the ghost mechanic should be remade differently to better fit your really good ideas! Good game overall, but I'd like to see it in a different approach.
Thanks for the feedback!! I understand the concern, for the game jam I purposely make the game easier, in hope to not frusrate some player, after the jam I'll bump up the difficulty and try different mechanics, once again thanks for the feedback it means alot to me <3
Cool idea! Sacrificing safety to explore the level was cool. You could add some more elements that made you put the torch away from you, most of the times you can keep it close to avoid spikes and skulls with no downsides. Other than that, nice job!
Thank you, I'm planning to add more stuff in the future, glad you liked it<3
This was fun to play!
We made a similar game about lights but this is so completely different!
I like that you need to stun the ghosts but also need to bring your light back so you don't accidentally walk into spikes.
Good job guys I'd love to see more of this!

This is our GMTK game. Check it out!
Glad you liked it, will check it out in a bit
More like dual purpose design rather than "only one" - but I liked that the light could be used to stun ghosts.
Well dual purpose with one mechanic haha, thanks for the feedback <3
This is really nice! The graphics especially are top-notch. My only real criticism is that it's a bit easy. I think it would have been really cool to have ghosts that moved a bit more quickly, so you were forced to balance between looking forward and seeing where you're going and keeping the ghosts stunned. As-is, the ghosts are basically never a threat. I also think some good dungeon-ey music would have improved the overall ambiance a LOT. That said, this is a really cool idea and definitely is worth exploring/expanding a bit!
I try to make is easier for the gamejam, I will try to bump up the difficulty and add more stuff in the future, thanks for the feedback :D
I could see this game being polished up to be a real winner! The concept of using your light to stun gave me some Luigi's Mansion vibes and I was digging it! You could almost convert the point light to maybe a light beam from a flashlight or something to really make a cool weapon type ability out of it! I'd love to see a full version with more enemies, traps etc. Great game!
Thank you, your game is amazing too, planning on more stuff in the future <3
Fun little game. Controls well, has cool dual-purpose-design mechanics, and has fantastic spritework. Wish there was music! Nice work.
Glad you liked it, thank you <3
Fun game overall. I feel like binding the torch to the mouse makes for some interesting risk/reward mechanics about wanting to keep the skeletons far away/learn the level layout more, vs avoiding the spikes that might be right in front of you
Thank you!! Glad you liked it <3
