It's a tough one to finish. The dragon ball theme is cool (wish there were punch animations, and changes in the character sprite as your power grows). The platforming could be improved and checkpoints added.

Its interseting idea you have here it just needs a little more depth. The level design too needs to be a little less repettive and more interesting. Also it was hard to remember the force points, leading to deaths that isn't really our fault... Apart from that, there is potential, jut lack of depth... Good job!

Would love if you could check mine out too! Or not, no pressure ;)

The game lacks any fun and interesting mechanics and motivation for the player to keep going. The movement is slow and boring and the power level thing just doesn't work when you need to memorize it all from the beginning. There's no combat, but you just walk over enemies that are a low enough level to gain a higher power level to be able to walk over bigger enemies.

Nevertheless it was a good attempt and you should keep doing gamejams to improve.

Pretty peculiar and simple idea. But you need to work on:

  1. Movement. Right now it's pretty boring and usual.
  2. UX, it's hard to remember how much power I need to get to defeat an enemy.
  3. More interesting mechanics on the levels which helps me or vise versa.

I like the concept and it controls pretty well but the game needs show you the power levels in game, or to the very least use more memorable values and the game could use some checkpoints as well. Quality of life stuff aside, I think you got a pretty good game on your hands.

The movement is pretty smooth in your game! I would've liked to have the character jump as much as I held the W button. Also, I agree with the rest of the comments that every enemy should show their power level above them, or at least use less random numbers for their HP. I can't even remember where I left my phone just now, let alone all those numbers hahaha

This is super cool and original, plus I love your art style - kind of parapa the rapper.

I wish there was a way to check how much power you need to kill an enemy. Theres no was I can remember all those random numbers and I kept getting pretty far just to die to an enemy because i didnt know if i could kill it or not. Other than that its pretty fun

This would make an amazing puzzle game. The idea is great. I would add other types of enemies that can be killed on several conditions (holding something, another type of enemy killed before) in order to make it more 'puzzle' like. Also would be great to see the power required to kill enemies. On first run I died because I thought a 'queen guard' is actually a week enemy :).

Nice one! It is a bit difficult at first but once you learn the levels its very fun. I wish I could just start from the level I failed on instead of repeating the whole game.

With a little bit of work this could be eve funnier , Good Job!

It's like low budget DBZ! A cool idea, essentially boils down to hitting checkpoints in order, some advanced platforming mechanics and some game feel would go a long way in a game like this.

Characters somewhat feel like they are from anime, hehe

Nice! Definitely had fun rampaging around one-hitting things. Like some other have said, would have been nice to have had another way to know whether or not any particular enemy could be defeated at any one time.

Wow agreed with @bann_ana. This game is very from the balacobaco.

Quite fun figuring out the path to take.  Would be nice to have a checkpoint mechanic as replaying from the start gets a little tedious.  Great entry for the jam :)
