I wish there was a way to check how much power you need to kill an enemy. Theres no was I can remember all those random numbers and I kept getting pretty far just to die to an enemy because i didnt know if i could kill it or not. Other than that its pretty fun

Very fun! I wanted my power level to be

...But I still had a lot of fun! Good game!

This would make an amazing puzzle game. The idea is great. I would add other types of enemies that can be killed on several conditions (holding something, another type of enemy killed before) in order to make it more 'puzzle' like. Also would be great to see the power required to kill enemies. On first run I died because I thought a 'queen guard' is actually a week enemy :).

Nice one! It is a bit difficult at first but once you learn the levels its very fun. I wish I could just start from the level I failed on instead of repeating the whole game.

With a little bit of work this could be eve funnier , Good Job!

It's like low budget DBZ! A cool idea, essentially boils down to hitting checkpoints in order, some advanced platforming mechanics and some game feel would go a long way in a game like this.

Characters somewhat feel like they are from anime, hehe

Nice! Definitely had fun rampaging around one-hitting things. Like some other have said, would have been nice to have had another way to know whether or not any particular enemy could be defeated at any one time.

Wow agreed with @bann_ana. This game is very from the balacobaco.

Quite fun figuring out the path to take.  Would be nice to have a checkpoint mechanic as replaying from the start gets a little tedious.  Great entry for the jam :)

I had fun playing this and running around kicking everyone's butt with my power level. The only thing I wish it had was the enemy power level somewhere so i knew exactly how much more I needed. i know you told us in the beginning screen but I think it would be more clear with it in the level itself! Great game!

This is nice. With a little more mechanical depth this could be better.

So, to explain the issue with this design, let me dip into the classic "aesthetics, dynamics, mechanics" model. Your mechanics (the actual code and what it does) work perfectly as a way to gate paths with the gates themselves as the keys, all of which need to be collected. Your platforming works perfectly. No problems there. However, your dynamics (how the mechanics interact and come together) are a puzzle game that, due to the time limit without a map of the level or any amount of preparation, requires pure trial and error. As such, you've captured the basic fun of bog-standard platformer movement (which is good if you're a beginner), then handed your player pointless repetition to use it for.

I don't know how long it took you to come up with the premise for this, but for future projects I recommend trying to plan out what a full unit of your game (such as 1 level) would be like to play, including what the actual skill you're challenging is.

Oh, and your aesthetics (how you express the dynamics and tie them into a thematic whole) are great. The humorous narrative framing was especially good.

Now, the right comment haha

I like the concept of killing enemies accordingly their strength. Only thing I think you could add is a label over the enemy showing his strenght. I couldn't remember all information given in the initial screen. Great game, I like the gameplay, it felt fluid for me. Congratulations!
