Very interesting game! I especially loved the purple blocks, they are really original and have great potential for further exploration with the idea! The music, too; AMAZING! To me it reminded me of interestellar by Hans Zimmer! Great job! What would have been the cherry on the cake, would have added maybe another instrument to it (maybe violins) when he becomes a complex being, it would felt like a real accomplishment! But still, very great game with some interesting potential!
It's crazy how a simple choice in music can totally reframe a game. I was half expecting some philosophical musings about breaking free from your one-dimensional existence (the open 2D area at the end was a nice thematic touch). To echo some other comments I'd agree that the biggest thing this game needs is the ability to see when the red squares are inactive, because a lot of my deaths could be chalked up to moving forward and all of a sudden a red square is in my path before I have time to react. Aside from that, good job.
Thanks for the feedback! We are super happy you liked the game and the music! We wanted to give another mood to fit an abstract concept. Also, we are about to post another page with a new version of the game, including trap visuals.
I really enjoyed this game's atmosphere! Simple but very well executed, and it had this great vibe about it that was helped by a very good soundtrack. Good job!
Thanks! We are really happy you like it :)
This is a nice little game, perfect scope for a jam.
It would have been nice to have checkpoints and turned-off red blocks visible.
Thanks for your feedback! I'll be adding some of the stuff you mentioned later tonight.
Cool concept a little confusing with no introduction. Figure it out after killing myself on the red guy 3 times. Nice job
Thank you! Right now some mechanics are a little confusing but I'll make some changes later tonight!
Very simple and understandable, interesting design challenge. Feel like it would be difficult to expand on however.
Thank you for your feedback! :D
