I'm not sure I understand the Win state of the game, is it infinite? There is some challenge to be had in controlling the character and collecting pyramids, but to offer more control, perhaps the length of time you hold down the mouse button would change what speed or momentum your character has while moving.

Slippery is the word ^^ !

Fun idea although I would start with the frog or the bee instead of the snake, they are far easier to control (especially the bee). That way the player is eased into the game more smoothly.

The game is really difficult to control! I'm afraid that I didn't fully grasped the idea of the controls... *sigh* I believe it needs way more inertia to make it more responsive... It's a shame, because the idea looks fun, specially for a multiplayer game!

The 3D models look very nice!

I finished the game! it was fun but the snake controlled pretty badly

I'm really sorry, but I only made it as far as the frog.  I did find the frog's controls a lot more intuitive than the snake though!  Maybe changing the order of the levels would be a good plan here, and ease the player in a bit!

visually it works well,  easy to see where you are most of the time and find your enemy.  the shadows help a lot.  I could probably have used a helper to help me find the pyramid pickup.

Speaking of that pyramid, I enjoyed having to go and collect it after throwing it out, but often, due to the 1 button control philosophy, it was easier to just plant myself in the wall and shoot the enemy when he was also on the wall.  I could have gone with a second button to fire, and an incentive to keep moving.  Thanks for sharing your game, I enjoyed playing it!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree the level order should have changed, or perhaps been random. I didn't even think about a pyramid helper, it would be a good addition

Didn't get the controls, did try for a while though.

Could have some obstacles to help the snake don't go too crazy.

We also created a game for the jam in case you want to check it :)

My problem is not so much the hard controls but the speed of the enemy. He was overpowered in my opinion (he had really cool animations though :)) . With some tweaking this can become very fun!

Edit: Also the piramid attacks are to random, so it becomes even more difficult to win.

Developer

Thanks for the input, the pyramid attack comes the next click after picking it up. If I used two buttons this would have been less frustrating but I wanted to stick to one button.

The controls seemed to be quite hard (I played on my laptop touch). I think you could maybe reduce the slippery a bit, but if you put some time on it can be a fun game!!

That snake is a b**** to control but I managed to get to the frog only to be the snake again. The animations were pretty top notch though, at one point the antagonist did a forward role and everything!

the snake is too slippery for me
