How does your game fit the theme?
Any mis-timed jumps can easily result in a complete loss of control over what's happening, in a game where there's fairly little control to begin with.

I enjoyed playing your game. It is a simple concept and I think you implemented it well. If you work some more on it and release it for mobile I could see myself playing it a lot :)

Developer

Thank you so much! :D

Cool concept! I had a similar idea at the beggining of the jam, but then I discarded it.

I think the gameplay needs a bit of balance but it's still fun!

This games looks really nice and is enjoyable. However webGL version has an audio artifact after the coin collection, and also the GMTK logo and text was slightly cut off the screen. Otherwise really good

Very nice idea! I liked it!

What did I like?
- Game mechanics.
-  Game art.
- The visual effects.
- The SFX
- Background music.
What I didn't like?
N/A
Bugs:
- "WebGL" version of the game, the in-game text is unreadable. (I can see just half of it, when I play the game on full screen, and when I don't play on full screen the first letters of the text I can't see it)

"WebGL" FullScreen bug

Suggestions:

- Use "Text Mesh Pro Text" instead of the default text.
- The pause menu is empty, write on the top of the pause menu "Paused".
- Add a score and a high score.
- Scale down pause menu window.

Great work! Keep making games, and never give up!

Appreciate the feedback!

Yeah, I admittedly am not very experienced in building  WebGL games haha

I will definitely try your suggestions! I'm gonna be releasing a version of the game with a lot of changes such as: Better Pause Menu, TMP Text, Level Select, among a few optimization updates.

Thank you and good luck!!

Cool idea! A visualisation of the trajectory might be a nice touch - maybe hold to see trajectory and release to jump?

Changing direction is a good concept but doesn't really seem to have any impact on the game, most of the time I couldn't even tell if I'd done it correctly. Expanding on this concept more might open up more meaningful decisions for the player.

Loved the black holes, they were pretty satisfying to watch collapse. There's a really annoying tail on the coin collecting SFX - if you're using BFXR try changing the high pass filter or otherwise just open the sound in audacity and trim the end off.

Pretty fun game, congrats on finishing it!

Developer

The tail on the sound of the coins only happens on the WebGL version of the game, I sadly could not figure out a way to fix it. Visualizing trajectory is definitely an interesting idea, something I might play around with a little... Thanks a ton for your feedback!

If Super Mario Galaxy was a lot harder to control, it might look a bit something like this. Jokes aside, this is a pretty fun concept, but it's extremely difficult. I couldn't finish it.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I definitely agree that it's a bit too difficult. It's always a struggle for me to create challenge just 'cause i'm too good at my own games lol. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool game! Nice job

Developer

Thank you!

Very difficult to control the projectile. Has really nice visuals - I like the geometric shapes!

Developer

Thanks! It definitely takes a bit getting used to, perhaps a bit too much to get used to haha

Cool idea, but is it completely random where the pohectile flies? Kinda hard to predict it's path.

Developer

This was my original idea, but I agree that it is definitely a bit too hard to control, despite the jam’s theme.

To answer your question, no. The projectile/ character has no randomness to it’s trajectory, though it may seem like it.

I appreciate the feedback! 😁😁
