How does your game fit the theme?
[Warning: Unfinished Proof of Concept! Read more @ our page!] The game plays on the idea of losing control so strongly associated to both the myths and the facts of neurodivergent people. We're taught, told and instructed all our lives to control what is inherently ours and ultimately not controllable. If you attempt to play the game as a simple turn-based tactics game, your party members will quickly attain anxiety and suffer a panic attack. Literally, it's out of your control how much any of these would affect them. Metaphorically, it instructs you that it's not about controlling their atypical mental acuity - it's about harnessing it! Every party member is incredibly strong under their respective categories!

I love the square movement highlight - looks so good! In general the art is the best part of it! I also like the idea of the anxiety and perhaps by playing with it you could explore social commentary of anxiety within society.

Developer

Mostly our intention, yeah! We're thinking of working a bit more on it, so keep your eyes peeled :3

Please work on it more. I would love to see what you had in mind.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! It's on our mind and we might have something to offer real soon :3

I understand how frustrating it is to not be able to properly showcase your idea. Great art, at least! Good luck with future releases!

Developer

Thank you kindly! We're ultimately still very proud of what we managed to do <3

Cute graphics. Game jam's are all about getting an idea out. I hope that you'll keep developing this game after the game jam since you have a good base right now!

Developer

Thank you!

Appealing graphics and gameplay! I just wish there were more levels! (Looking forward to the flushed out version of this proof of concept!)

Developer

Thank you! We're really fond of how it looks and what we planned for it :)

i like the game, the environment is pretty. The cursor have a problem with the space to click in one space but i like it.

Developer

Thank you - the dungeon atmosphere really went through!

The ambiance is already good with some nice graphics and a music that matches the mood. I would say that the next things to add are some sounds when attacking a fixing the cursor (when I want to go 2 tiles up, I need to put the mouse cursor 3 tiles up for examle), then having more options, more things to do.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, for sure it'd be one of the first things we'd try to fix!

I like the idea behind the game, I hope one day you get to finish it.

Developer

Thanks, it's an idea we really liked! We might think about it, absolutely :)

This as a finished game would be incredible! Even now it's awesome, may I ask what went wrong? Also here's my game https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 tell me what you think :)

Developer

Thank you, glad you got some enjoyment out of it! It was mostly factors literally, and ironically, outside of our control (Rustyness, experience, mid-developing personal issues, our scheduling w/ our jobs and the jam starting @ 4pm of Friday, which slightly messes up brazilians that work on Friday)

Ah, well congrats working through it!
