How does your game fit the theme?
The player character constantly fires spells outside of the players control. These spells randomly change and the player needs to avoid hurting allies. The enemy also rapidly grows and if not dealt with quickly will be too much for the player to handle.

I really like how our games look like each other. But you went further with more with different spells, good job!
I'll say this is a great interpretation of the theme, but I might be biased hahah :) Nice game, I like the pacing that new spells are introduced.
Really great entry! I love the different types of spells, and slowly introducing them was a good idea. As others have said before me, the game could use a lot more feedback, but I know how difficult it is to do everything in such a short time. ;)
There were a few bugs I’ve encountered:
This looks like a good idea to continue working on. You could add different enemy types, having partial resistances to some spells, but weaknesses to others. More spells, perhaps some randomly dropped from enemies pickups that let you control your spells for a short time.
Overall, nice job on the game. I enjoyed playing it. ;)
Hey Lucas Stark thanks for your detailed feedback and for playing! I agree with your comments, all stuff like the feedback, extra spells, enemy types with resistances are things I Initially thought of and wish I of could have figured out and implemented during the 48 hours. Maybe in the sequel! I do like the idea of having a possible pickup that allows you control of your spells though... good idea!
I haven't noticed the shield bug yet but thanks for letting me know about it. I'm aware of occasionally when a spell happens twice in a row (usually Infernal Fury or Emerald Scattershot) it will stop working, it plagues me everytime I play through the game :( I tried to figure out for about an hour during the jam why it happens but alas didn't quite crack it.
Anyway I really appreciate your feedback and for your kind words about the game! Thanks again for playing!
Nice work! I thought that trying to figure out what each spell did was a little confusing, though. Good job!
Thanks for playing! I appreciate it! BTW I love your Funky Kong user pic, brings back memories of my favorite game ever!
I like this game. It's fun to learn how to use the different spells, what they are good for and to try and utilize the current spell before it switches again.
Maybe the lightning storm is a bit too much out of control for my tastes, but it didn't bother me much.
Also the level numbers are going crazy I was suprised to see Level 174 after Levels 1 and 2, a fun little surprise. :D
Graphics and sounds are nothing too fancy but completely servicable for this game.
All in all pretty fun experience.
Thanks for playing and your feedback! Glad you noticed the levels, was a tiny touch I threw in at the end to add a tiny bit more "Out of Control" but also wasn't sure if people would just think its a glitch.
Good Idea ! Gg for the game :)
Thanks! Appreciate you playing!
An interesting idea. A HUD showing the next spell and a timer when it will change would help the player prepare for the next phase (eg. charged into snuzzlepuffs with invulnerability but then it switched). Still a good, simple shooter.
Thanks for playing! A timer and next spell info could be a good addition. I will consider it if I ever make a sequel!
Cool entry! I like the weapon variety in later stages, I think that slowly introducing new spells overtime was a clever way to keep the player interested in what spell came next and at keeping the levels interesting.
Thanks for playing! And ya that's what I was trying to go for with the spells, just wish I could have added a few more.
Pretty nice! I feel like the game isn't fast enough and could use some more player feedback (enemies flash when hit, screenshake, ect ect) but overall I had fun. My mom said it was cute
Thanks Lafie-Safie! I had planned to add more feedback like flashing enemies and some particles etc... but I felt like I was starting to run out of time. I agree it would have made the game fell better. Anyway thanks to you and your mom for looking at it!
